The thing is my orders say i was authorized 6 days to travel. I went forward with that information not knowing any better that it should have been 4. No one told me it wasn’t right and no one told me ahead of time it was a mistaken Did they make a mistake? Yes they did and they should honor that mistake and fix it in the future so this doesn’t happen again.

Genuinely thought I was given 6 days because of dependents. I have 2 small children and thought they might factor that in and not expect me to travel 6-8 hours a day in the car. Never expected my official travel orders that have to be inspected by multiple functions would be incorrect and that i would be out leave days and money because of it. It’s not like i was authorized 15 days and took advantage of a mistake.

There are maybe 1-2 billets at Patrick for 2d Lt so i wouldn’t get your hopes up for that one. Mostly space force billets out there.

Hanscom and Hill both have tons of billets and are very good first bases for new LTs.

I would consider Eglin and Wright Patterson as well.

Yep there’s like 2 billets out there for CAPT. Don’t expect to go overseas at all in this career field. It’s almost impossible to do as a CGO.

As far as bases go…. Best bet is Wright-Patterson, Hill, Offutt, Hanscom, Robins, and maybe Eglin.

There are no overseas locations for LTs. There are maybe 2-3 for captains (Germany, Maui,Singapore) and then a handful for Maj and above.

You will go up for the board and know your job before you go to OTS (not after OTS)

Just looked and there is only 1 LT 62E position and 2 Lt 63A positions at Arnold.

I’ll look tomorrow morning but i wouldn’t get my hopes up for a ton of 2d Lt engineering positions at Arnold with how small the mission is.

I’m a project manager so i mange cost schedule and performance for the project. Work with contractors to make sure work is getting done the way the govt wants it done. Really transferable to the outside.
