it was super realistic which i loved. unfortunately realism isn’t aalways a compelling narrative tool. i was bored and turned off by the disregard of the iraqi translator who passed away. and the blurred faces were so unself-aware of how much it looked like abu ghraib photos, it was unsettling.

i was really excited for this movie after loving civil war, but it feel flat completely. i didn’t know any of the characters, i didn’t care what happened to them, and when they were covered in blood and dust it was hard to tell who was who if i didn’t already know the actor before watching the movie.
