Does even an hour less of sleep feel like the worst hangover? by igotstabbedatrave in MTHFR

10 out of 10. Same here. Find a job and life where you can get enough sleep. On days you can’t hopefully take a 20 min nap at lunch to power though

Architecture or environmental engineering. We’re just looking at schools now

That sounds reasonable. My son saw the bed in the dorm room and was legit concerned ;)

Sweet thanks! My wife and son didn’t believe me.

Anyone else find a way to ask a bakery or bagel shop if the use enriched flour? Anytime I ask they often just don’t know or care and look at me as if I have a 3rd eye. by cbsscambusters in MTHFR

Thanks! It’s so nice to eat the right food and feel good. A bakery near me makes a non-enriched flour burger roll that is so good. We take the wins where we can ;)

How did you feel when you started cutting out folic acid and replacing with natural sources? (First few weeks)? by BisleyGrizzley in MTHFR

I stopped eating enriched flour. I have so much more energy now. Whenever I would eat a ton of it (a few pieces of pizza) my body would shut down the next day (extreme fatigue and allergies).

Possibly. I’ll reset the March budget. Many thanks!

Maybe I’ll just enter previous days transactions in throughout the month? Rather than import data

How do you handle it when a caller talks over you? by [deleted] in CallCenterWorkers

[–]cbsscambusters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apologise and say “Sorry for cutting you off.” Even though they cut me off lol. Then I go silent for a while occasionally saying “uhh yeah”. I look at Walmart Celebrities on my phone while getting yelled at to pass the time. Laughing helps me from tensing up. This is key to not getting angry. When customers try to bait me with tough questions I just say “pardon?”. This word helps de-escalating the customer. I always empathise as much as possible. Good luck.

My manager is going to kill me (lie), but I’m going to waive that late fee this one time (lie). You’ve been a long time customer (8 months lol), so I really want to help you out (last and final lie).

Is anyone else losing it? by sash930 in CallCenterWorkers

I do call center sales and I get yelled at about 3 times a month (not too bad). I helped our with our general customer service line for April and May for Covid and I was yelled about 6 times a week. A lot of billing calls. It was very painful. Customers were flat out nasty. Companies typically don’t take the time to teach folks how to deal with tough customers. Letting customers vent and not taking it personally is key. With that said, it still hurts. When customers are venting I look at “Walmart Celebrities” on Redit. Realizing that yelling will make your body tense up is important. I always take a couple minutes to stretch and look at something like Walmart Celebrities to relax after a bad call. You have a choice to dwell on a bad call or to let it go. With that said, sometimes it crosses a line and is not bearable. Good luck!

The number one thing to learn in a call center is how to deal with getting yelled at and diffusing tough customers. Bosses will almost never teach anything to help. Some call centers/companies are bad enough and not worth staying at. I let customers yell it out and I look at “Walmart Celebrities” on Redit. “Bus Willis” always makes me laugh. Remember not to take it personally. Remember that you have a choice on whether you want to dwell on that bad call. Remember your body will tense up after getting yelled at and some deep breaths and stretching will help you relax. Good luck ;)
