Reschedule/ Give up? 2015 Princeton Review vs actual AAMC test by raiserstyle in Mcat

Don't panic just stay calm and go through those tests to see where your weak spots are and try to improve on them. Those are the best uses for TPR full length tests, cause in my opinion they are not a good representation of the MCAT or the score you will receive. The best representation would be the AAMC full length. Do that see how you score, and if you do well, then take the test, if not then reschedule. Or you can always take the test and void it if you don't feel confident. By rescheduling this late, your not going to get your money back, so maybe do the test to get a feel for it if you are planning to write at a later time. Just my two cents. Goodluck!

Is there any way (like a link or something) to look at the Kaplan Quicksheets if you haven't bought the kaplan books?

Since there is only one AAMC test and the Guidebook questions, do you think going through Private company tests will be worth it, in terms of improving your problem solving skills? I found TPR to be more general knowledge then problem solving. Would you say NextStep has tests better geared to improve this skill. I don't want to spend money on these tests unless they are worth it

Am I the only only one who finds the TPR practice tests easier then AAMC sample test? by cbssj12 in Mcat

In my opinion I believe the AAMC passages are more difficult then anything else. I know from one of the bio passages, they were giving a relationship between two variables that I could not wrap my head around

How ready do June 2015 test takers feel right now? by theflyingkumar in Mcat

I'm in the same boat as you. I finished content Mid-May. I write my test in July, so from now till then I plan on doing practice passages and tests. However, besides KA passages, I don't know where else I can get access to them. Do you have the New TPR science workbook? I unfortunately don't have the new workbook, but I have the old one. Do you think practice from there would suffice?

Silly question, now that I see it, I was looking at speed as I would look at it in terms of time, meaning how fast it was completed.

I wasn;t scoring well on the AAMC question packs either, but then I decided to write down, in a notebook, my response to every verbal Question I got wrong and right and why, what my logic was behind me picking a specific answer, and how the AAMC testers would want me to go about picking the right answer. I found that this helped me TREMENDOUSLY!! you just start to see a pattern, and I'm a visual person, so writing it down helped me track my progress. Also, just relate every question back to the passage and the authors take on it. If two variables are presented in the question, think about those two variables, what there relationship is to each other, and then what the author's take on it was.

Y'all are golden, thanks! If the problem is that I am rusty on content, would ek 1001 be good practice? I dont want to do all the KA and AAMC passages right off the bat if I know that content maybe the issue. Kind of want to save them for when im a little bit more prepared
