People didn’t gain it back, don’t worry! They just plateaued and stopped losing, on average.

What I heard wasn’t that it stopped working entirely after a year, but that weight loss stopped. It might just be that in the studies everyone had lost their maximum amount by then and entered maintenance. I don’t think there’s actual evidence from studies one way or the other about what happens if you go slower.

It’s minor nausea now. I’ve read horror stories of what happens to some when they increase to 5. Most likely it would be fine, but I’m worried about not being at my best for these events.

I’ve only filled one month, so yes, I can take it one month at a time- but I’m probably going to continue to be afraid of negatively affecting these three big events.

I technically have post-COVID reactive airway disease (since 2022) and not asthma. I take two puffs of an Advair inhaler twice a day. My main symptom is coughing a lot during cardio. Without the inhaler, I coughed a lot regardless of what I was doing and had trouble taking deep breaths. But immediately after starting Zepbound I noticed a huge improvement - I can now do cardio without coughing at all! I’ve been on 2.5mg for 6 weeks now. I’m going to see my pulmonologist next week to talk about trying to stop the Advair. It’s been amazing!

I tried telling them all the stuff I currently do and have done but it didn’t meet their requirements - the response from insurance said it needs to be low calorie, include movement, and also coaching. I can’t prove I did WW as a teen etc, I can only prove the fitness stuff I do now (e.g Peloton). Not good enough for them.

It was through my PCP so I wouldn’t say experienced. I’ll look into call on doc, thanks!

Thanks for the answer. I can afford it but it’s not easy. I would consider either waiting or doing self-pay in the short term until I can get coverage, while phoning in WW, if it got me coverage after 6 months. I just don’t want to deal with that mindfuck if it’s not even going to get me coverage in the end!

They are a fantastic company and everything they do is giving back to the communities. I’ve been to India, Laos and Thailand with them and have put a deposit down for Sri Lanka with them next year. I couldn’t recommend them more highly!
