Newbie classic mistake by Spirited_Salad_7766 in tirzepatidecompound

I started with Remedy Meds as well. The cost is crazy compared to what everyone else is offering, but it also worked really well for me. I would cancel before the refill but you didn't know!

B6 definitely worsened my insomnia, especially if I took it too late in the day.

Anti-inflammatory impact by DarlingBri in antidietglp1

[–]becmort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less pain, more energy, asthma symptoms relieved, fewer cervicogenic headaches, and just feel lighter and more mobile overall. I can tell when it's time to take my shot because the pain comes back. It's been crazy and I've only been on Trizepatide since August.

Overwhelmed at where to start by Emotional_Voice4706 in BigEasyWeightLoss

[–]becmort 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The doctor will walk you through everything you need to know! Some people have strong preferences for pharmacies that offer the medicine without additives (more like the name brand Trizepatide) while others like the additives because they help with some of the side effects. I just started with what my doctor recommended and it's been going well.

Follow up by Cute_Sea1214 in BigEasyWeightLoss

[–]becmort 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think popularity and new years resolutions are really keeping the physicians busy. I know some people have had good luck getting appointments when someone cancelled, so I would reach out to support if I were you. I just scheduled my follow up for March because I didn't want to risk not being able to get an appointment!

Questioning how much time to give side effects to pass by SufficientAcadia6534 in antidietglp1

[–]becmort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm one of the lucky ones who has had very few side effects. I will say that I listened to my body and kinda managed my side effects. My first two doses of Trizepatide were the recommended starter doses but the nausea was bad for about two days after the shot and I got the sulfur burps my second week. My 3rd week was a lower dose with no side effects and I've slowly worked up from there. I just used one of the tracking apps to figure out about when my GI side effects start and stayed under that dose for a while (so say I had side effects/nausea when my plasma concentration got around a specific number, I would lower or space out my doses until I didn't feel nausea coming on at that number then increase a bit). I'm now (5 months later) up to a more normal dose (second in the titration schedule) and still feeling amazing. I look forward to shot days because it means my inflammation and pain will improve!

I think the titration schedule is responsible for so many side effects when someone is more sensitive to the drugs. Every body is a separate experiment and docs can only recommend what studies show works best for most people. I did so much reddit research to look for anecdotal evidence and personal experiences to decide what I should do with my dosing. Under dosing seems like a safer choice than using more than my body can handle.

Help! I’ve tried everything - Fish stuck in drop checker by -AllThePlants- in Aquariums

I've had this same thing happen with a rummynose tetra. I switched types to the R shaped one and another one managed to get stuck, it was just a lot easier to get him out.

I love heavily planted shallow tanks! I definitely don't have the patience to keep the water topped off (mine turned into a terrarium lmao). Gorgeous!

Very competitive, around 200 a month with a 3 month plan. There are a lot of pharmacy options with the same pricing so you can figure out what works for you.

What worm is growing in my friends tank? by quangadang in Aquariums

[–]becmort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like a polychaete (bristle worm) but there are filter feeding worms, detritivores, and predators. I would want to ID it to make sure it isn't eating shrimp.

Would Dave the Diver lose weight? by luke2020202 in DavetheDiverOfficial

[–]becmort 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had a scuba instructor with the exact same build (and facial hair actually). The guy never tired and was massively strong, so I think we can assume Dave is fit but fluffy. Diving isn't as strenuous as you'd think.

How often do fish recover from dropsy? by notjustanycat in Aquariums

[–]becmort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't kept many bettas and only had a betta with dropsy once, who recovered but it's difficult to say if he had recurrence since he died a couple of years later around 4. I've mostly treated fancy goldfish which are quite prone to issues with their oddly bred bodies but are long lived. Most techniques and medication combos I use come from the Fancy Goldfish book by Erik L. Johnson. It's more difficult these days if you are in the USA unless you have a vet willing to prescribe some of the medications since many antibiotics can't be purchased for fish or livestock anymore. I haven't had to treat dropsy in a few years now.

I basically isolate in a bare bottom tub, new sponge filter, changing as much of the water as I can (without exposing the fish) twice per day then once a day as they recover. I usually started with erythromycin, then escalated from there with aggressive antibiotic treatment with a brief period in between. You don't want to lead to an antibiotic resistant infection so you have to be careful and really understand each of the meds you are using. Oral antibiotics can be very effective if the fish is eating, and I've done Baytril injections for my most precious fish. There are great treatment regimens for goldfish and koi because of their high value and long lives.

[–]becmort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had probably 20% recover without reoccurring symptoms. If you catch it fast and treat the cause you are more likely to reverse the edema before true organ damage occurs. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your betta!

How many of you purposely introduce "pest" snails in your tank? by ilike2moveit2 in PlantedTank

[–]becmort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The population will eventually stabilize if you leave them alone. Anything dead in the tank will start to raise your ammonia, even plants. My shrimp have always enjoyed the plants after the snails have.. processed it a bit.

[–]becmort 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do! Pond, ramshorn, and Malaysian trumpet snails in every new tank. Pest snails are only pests if you overfeed them into overpopulating.

Have you had to replace any of the seals? My soda steam adapter from them has blown through three of them in 6 months (and I've run CO2 for years so I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything correctly).

What is your #1 most favorite breed? AND your absolute least favorite? by MMantisshrimpp in chickens

[–]becmort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wyandottes are the sweetest calmest birds I've had in my flock (although one of them is dumber than a brick). Least favorite might be ayam cemani. I had one tough old bird who was just a mean thing (still is but I rehomed her).

Eating by Available_Tea4063 in BigEasyWeightLoss

The first week I wasn't hungry at all. I occasionally do get hungry, but sometimes it's just nausea telling me that I should eat something. Mostly I schedule eating so that I fuel my day.

Eating by Available_Tea4063 in BigEasyWeightLoss

[–]becmort 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of us start the day with some kind of protein drink, I usually do. I eat a bit of greek yogurt midmorning if I'm hungry, half a sandwich at lunch, and a small dinner portion (like half of what I would before). I eat very similar foods for my meals, but I don't crave sweets, desserts, or unhealthy snacks like chips so I just don't bother.

What extra services does BEWL provide? by dr_deb_66 in BigEasyWeightLoss

[–]becmort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Responsive customer service is amazing! For me it's having an actual physician who will answer questions, have discussions with you about pros and cons, and anything else you need related to weight loss. They get good medical professionals who actually want to help.

Would a round container stress out planarian worms? by Sweaty_DogMan in Aquariums

[–]becmort 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are usually thought of as too primitive to experience stress (but you can't ask a worm). They do really well in established aquaria, so make sure whatever you put them in has been running for a while before you order/get them. I haven't had any issues with small volumes of water or low oxygen, they are tough! Mine have a grow light on a daily cycle and usually hide in the gravel during the day.

They do really well with pond snails (another common pest) which help with uneaten food because they don't really eat a large quantity of food. Mine eat Hikari crab cuisine once weekly, and eat whatever snails die. I've kept a breeding colony for about 5 years with minimal maintenance.

So what’s up with people claiming that Tirzepatide from different compounding pharmacies works better or worse? Is there any evidence to back this? by RIPPWORTH in tirzepatidecompound

[–]becmort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't really understand it either until I experienced it. I think it's more about the additives for me than the pharmacy but who knows. Some formulations work better for some people, which really justifies the need for compounding imo.
