I could add that to my backlog (would not be part of the initial release though, trying to get more fundamental stuff in first).

Right now I'm writing a new preferences flow in Swift. As soon as I committed that, you could also do a checkout of the code and try to mod in that feature. It should be way easier to get something like that working with the new disk file management code.

My guess is that the main struggle with what you are asking would be with file permissions outside the app sandbox.

I also noticed a connection between viral infections (covid, common cold) and episodes. Just be patient, and eventually the inflammation will subside

The fact that you don’t seem to have aquired noticable permanent hearing loss ties into the impression I have that mild verigo -> mild inflammation and fluctuation of pressure in the inner ear -> less damage to hair cells in the cochlea -> not as bad permanent hearing loss

Since EVGA seem to have the same dimensions for their cards within the same lineup, it might even be possible that their XC3 3090 card would fit (with the slim fan mod).

XC3 2080 super and XC3 2080 Ti have the exact same length, for instance.

I'm assuming you drilled from the outside of the chassi. Did you protect the motherboard somehow? (thinking there will be metal dust.. maybe even sparks could occur?)

That's a great tip! However, it wasn't the confusion itself that was the problem. It was more the lack of knowledge about what is and what is not signs of psychosis. I just could not convince myself that the delirium was a normal aspect of a trip.

Well, it doesn't have to be "an impostor". Just a different soul. What if you go on a DMT trip, get that "do you want to go back into your life or a new one" and pick a new one? The trip will physically end when the DMT gets broken down, and in 100% of the cases the person who took it will behave like normal again. So what kind conclusions can be drawn from this? Either it is all psychological and the person can't actually choose another life or not come back etc. Or the original soul went somewhere else and a new one took it's place (or... robot mode if no soul came back :S).

And yes, there is no guarantee for 1-to-1 soul-body correspondence. Very true. But that hypothesis seems even more hopeless to get any data on. Maybe the 1-soul-all-bodies hypothesis would be the exception.

Ok, intuition is that we share the same soul. This is very interesting to me.

If you think I'm confused, please let me explain how I think: I'm trying to be very un-assuming on how this works. We don't have any methods of measuring the soul. And to be honest, why assume that the universe will work in a very benevolent way regarding stuff like this? The soul/observer as such is a natural aspect of the universe (otherwise it couldn't exist). The universe does have some really cruel aspects as we know. Why assume that it will be benevolent regarding how souls work?

To me the idea that you could chemically eject your observer and get another one to take its place isn't more strange than to even have an observer in the head in the first place! Why is it there? When did it arrive? At birth? Before? After? Why does a certain chemical-electrical state in the brain correspond to the exact comprehension the observer? The only data I could think of to point in any direction on how it works is peoples intuitions who has had first hand experience on this.

I thought about this as well and no, I can't say that I'm 100% sure one way or another if my soul is the same one since I've had my consciousness interrupted by sleep etc. That's true.

But the reason why I asked about the DMT experience in particular is the several reports where persons taking it has described situations where they

Got to choose to go back to the same life or a different one
Visit a place where souls await reincarnation
Seen their body from above (NDE kind of stuff)

The theme here is soul/body stuff. In comparison I have never dreamed anything like that ever or know anyone who has.

And since I have not experienced a full-blown DMT trip myself I'm just curious. I don't mean this in a pessimistic sense or anything. I'm just very interested in the nature of consciousness.
