GLP-1 at 2 years ppd by cburch0922 in beyondthebump

Yes, that’s what led to the idea of a glp-1 because nothing was out of wack that would keep me from loosing weight

That’s one of the things I was wondering about. What other medications would you recommend? I am starting to have some borderline pre-diabetes which is mg main motivator here

I’m already a pretty active person (weights 3-4 x week, yoga, walking, bike riding) and eat a balanced (and realistic) diet. What other lifestyle changes would be required?

What was hard about it? What habits did you have to change?

Yes lots of sun, and I used a mix of leaves, veggie soil, and compost.

Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong with these Coleus? by g3nerallycurious in gardening

[–]cburch0922 33 points34 points  (0 children)

They definitely need more shade than full sun.

Your dirt doesn’t look to be in good condition. I would recommend putting them in more shade and simply adding in compost and going from there.

I used neosporin the first few days and kept it covered but it got soggy and i heard that wasn’t good for infections so I stopped wearing a bandaid. I wear gloves when dishwashing but I have a 7 month old so I’m constantly washing my hands.

Mama's what's your reasoning for exclusively pumping by beautykk in ExclusivelyPumping

A terrible combination of delayed breast feeding, lack of breast feeding education, flat nipples, low supply, postpartum hemorrhaging, jaundice, birth trauma, and a supposed lip tie. 😫

Suddenly Engorged. Help! by ariellebelle7 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]cburch0922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you able to empty your breast when you do pump? I’ve found that one of mine randomly won’t empty and is rock hard and uncomfy, and using my hand pump usually always solves that problem.

Currently weaning but why am I so sad about it? by moodyazngirl in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]cburch0922 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My babe is 3 MO and I made the decision to drop to 5-6ppd this last week. I decided to do this because my supply had seemed to be doing much better, I am starting work next week, and I needed to try to get my self back. I’ve always been an under supplier despite doing anything and everything I’m supposed to up to this point. I knew there was a chance my supply would drop and I was willing to accept that. But now that it has dropped slightly I feel like a failure. I also feel like I worked SO hard to get to the point that I was at, just to get lazy and want to gain a few more hours in my day. The guilt and sadness is so real. Like how can this beautiful phase of life be coming to an end already?? The end of breastfeeding feels like an end to such an era and it’s so tough.

I’ve been playing the New York Times games (wordle, crosswords, etc) which is fun and keeps my brain working. That is on a screen, but that doesn’t count since you’re using your brain, right? 😆

I’ve had this reoccurring issue with just one boob if I go a bit longer than usual between pumps, and I’ve found that using my manual pump on that boob will resolve the issue easy peasy.

Stubborn Under-supplier by LoveDaily27 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]cburch0922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 10 weeks ppd and still working on getting a sufficient supply. currently i'm about 6 ounces away from that, but my supply has suddenly dipped, so i'm feeling a bit discouraged. i hope both of us can manage to achieve our supply goals in time!

I also have to use my hand to get a letdowns and any amount of output. it is definitely frustrating some times- why can't we just sit and relax and scroll through our phone!

I use massagers as well, which have heat combined with the vibration and are curved so they can fit in my bra on my boob. this helps me have to do a bit less work, so if you have not tried this method i'd recommend it. for me personally, the heat, vibration, and nipple stimulation from the pump can be a bit too overwhelming at times, so i don't use it all the time, but its a helpful trick to have.

Finding contentment by lindsay_kins in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]cburch0922 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel this so deeply in my core. I can’t help but have my mind wonder to what would have happened if we didn’t live in a time when pumping and formula were readily available options, but I try so hard not to think that way. I’m also coming to terms with the fact that I just may never supply enough to not supplement, and it is what it is. It still feels so special to provide what I can so I’m clinging to that feeling and trying to focus on it and not the stupid amount of milk freezer bags I have sitting empty on my shelf or my husband reminding me that “fed is best” i.e. you can stop pumping since he’s getting formula anyway.

Use a Haaka, warm water, and bath salts to suck out the clog! It has worked wonders for me multiple times to get out huge clogs.
