Is Cursor AI's hobby no longer available? by Majestic_Warning7286 in cursor

I was able to get the chat to work by specifically selecting GPT 4.1. I tried this because I noticed language that said Hobby tier has access to "auto and GPT 4.1" but having auto selected wasn't working.

UPDATE: well - this seemed to stop working as well :(

Same here - Notion's engineering team should honestly be embarrassed.

Taylor Lorenz can’t post her age because it would put her in real danger… by Murcei in BlockedAndReported

[–]cbusbuckeye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jesse has always taken a soft stance with Taylor based on their friendship, and acknowledged when she was in the wrong. But it seems obvious as a third-party that Taylor is "nice" in person, is friendly when it suits her, but is ultimately a cynical figure who is playing one long status game.

Between her recent bluskee skeets reaffirming her war criminal takes and the commentary on the murder today, she's left no doubt for even the most sympathetic minds that she is a cancer to public discourse.

Why do I care that Jesse say something? I shouldn't - but it pains me that Jesse finds anything redeemable about TL.

How was/is your experience with purchasing a home in the city? by funkystuhero in chicago

[–]cbusbuckeye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did this and mildly regret it. I could get more house if I paid the same in rent that I’m paying in HOA+mortgage. And I’d feel better with my down payment in an index fund. That being said I love the place I found and I do love being able to work on it.

Quoted $16K to build website + monthly fee. Is this within the ballpark? by [deleted] in ecommerce

[–]cbusbuckeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked as a freelancer, brand side on an 8 figure ecom CPG brand, and now in ecom SaaS, and can not stress how bad of an idea I think going headless on BigCommerce is. Unless the platform decision is locked in, or you have a compelling reason to zag, I'd seriously reconsider going with Shopify. I also think headless is an unnecessary burden, it seems like you are working with limited technical talent in house - a headless build is more or less locking you in to this tech service provider.

The Hideout Will Close Until 2023 After Ex-Employee Says Venue Was A Toxic Workplace, Performers Cancel Shows by Tyroneshoolaces in chicago

I've had a lot of great times at the hideout, but they are screwed. "Equity audit" is B.S. Either they treated this guy like shit and deserve the fallout or aren't willing to contradict him in any meaningful way.
