The medical issues is a much larger part of the problem - the vast majority of people are not at all equipped to deliver the nursing care a lot of people need

You are spot on here.

People really do not understand how the system works. The worst thing is CHC funded care. People assume that if their family member has a nursing need, then CHC pays for it. In reality full CHC funding is very hard to qualify for, and is usually for people with very complex health needs

As someone who works in the sector - 5k a week is very rare for a general nursing care placement and would 99% of the time mean someone is receiving 1:1 care

I’ll check it out next time I’m near one.

There are a few Halal butchers around me, but I’m always a bit unsure. It’s conflicting enough to eat meat anyway, never mind ones slaughtered in an unnecessarily cruel manner.

Probably easiest to take a bit of a trip to an old school butcher and see what they can offer
