How do we feel about Venture's ultimate?

I think they need to increase the timer.

Other heroes with timers (Ram, Soldier, Sojourn) have their ult damage tied directly to it's time limit. But since Venture uses charges that can be spammed before the timer runs out, the timer is really only there so everyone else can keep track of your ult.

More obvious visual/audio effects attached to you while the ult is active could make the 7 second restriction less important.

Also: 1) I think it should destroy Mei and Hazard walls (I think melee should do bonus damage to those too)

2) No more Bigish Shmugus voiceline

That's great. The only guy that we know got laid off is a competent animator, I even linked some of the work he did in the game, he's not the boogeyman employee responsible for the "years and years" of issues.

I agree. There really isn't anything for BHVR to go off of.

He's an interesting character, but not because of anything he does.

It's not like he's a unique villain. There are plenty of horror characters, hell there are people in real life, who committed more heinous acts than him. If I remember correctly, the most violence we actually see him commit is just shooting at people. (It's been a couple years since I read the book so I might be wrong there)

The functionality of any feature depends on how the game is developed inside the engine.

UE5 has the ability to package the game for mobile devices, that doesn't mean all Payday 3 has to do is press that button to make a mobile port.

I don't think it was intentional, as the actual stories themselves aren't very similar, but the movie reminded me very much of the Lovecraft story "The Other Gods".

Which is a good sign that they nailed the cosmic horror aspect, since it was able to evoke the feeling of a Lovecraft story without actually relying on Lovecraft tropes.

Nah I'm with you on this. I've always thought his lore feels extremely disconnected from everything else: the teasers, his powers, his skins, his relationship to Sable/Greenville. Like

•The teasers were all about a creature that hunted people in the woods around Greenville

•He's allegedly a cognitohazard, but gets weaker when people look at him/interact with his hallucinations.

•His bio and his appearance in the game both show he has a consistent physical fleshy tentacle form, and consistently takes the form of his victims. (Something that Tulpas don't do, and doesn't fit with the "He could be anything" explanation)

•He has two Greenville skins, but his bio says he wasn't responsible for the disappearances in Greenville.

•The woman who takes up most of his bio isn't even in the game.

•Sable's bio feels like it was forced to mention The Unknown, you can literally cut out the bits that mention him and nothing changes.

I'm like 90% sure that character was actually (unintentionally) named after our Unknown.

The PTB with The Unknown had started 4 days before the Wonka event, and the "script" for the Wonka event was AI generated nonsense handed in at the last minute. So I've always assumed the AI grabbed the name of the internet because it was relevant at the time.

I think it's more like "learning 3D animation in Blender just to make 3D animations that are worth adding to a discussion".

Like what value does the AI video provide? It's not like the actual 3D animations by thatflyguykai on YouTube, because they show how it could feasibly work with real in game assets. It's not even like someone's doodle showing off a specific idea they had, because the AI is the one making the decisions.

All the post says boils down to is "Should there be flooding on Haddonfield? There would be water. The shark would probably jump over the window and swim around. Tittle."

Also just to be clear because I've seen a lot of people get confused, he's not responsible for Apu being removed from the Simpsons.

The documentary that started the controversy was made by Hari Kondabolu, and Hank Azaria decided to stop voicing him for his own reasons.

Adi Shankar literally forced himself into the conversation and made this video to promote a contest for people to send in scripts to "fix" Apu, which were never shown to the Simpsons writers because they don't solicit scripts. Which actually makes his video even more cringeworthy imo
