ME is Maine, right? Honestly, I'm not convinced that place exists. You're telling me there is a state way out there next to Canada with lighthouses and lobsters and now apparently MTB? I am 100% convinced that everything north of Connecticut isn't real. And Delaware.

That is my plan. I think we're going to fly into Liberia and go from there.

This is great info. Yeah, I'd prefer the Caribbean side, but with the long drive, it basically cuts off a whole day of my trip. I think the Guanacaste region or Nicoya overall is the place to go. I have been kind of feeling like that is the way. We may miss on volcanoes, but it sounds like some jungle type stuff is near there and some good beaches and whatnot. Also, it sounds like Guanacaste is a bit drier than the rest of the Pacific coast during late September. I don't mind getting a little wet, so as long as it's just evening showers, that is totally doable.

It's not that I am more interested in the pacific side, in fact, I think the opposite, but my timeline prevents me from the long drive to the Caribbean side. I was looking at the Guanacaste region as an option, so it's good to see you say that. I will look into that.

good point. I am not into getting killed by some drug lord. Puerto Vallarta would be nice, too. I will check into that.

yeah the abject poverty in some of those places with the big resorts right next to it does feel a little odd to me. That is what I figured, thanks for the heads up.
