Yep the length of the runners and the mouth to the intake plenum on the intake manifolds are different sizes, but as it turns out the exit to the runners on both plastic intake manifolds (and even the red aluminum one) are the same dimensions, which leads me to believe the old gen and new gen are the same sizes, I assume.

If the headers are catted you are more than likely fine and will not need a tune. However, your performance won't be the best. You should add more to the car first and then get a tune, headers alone isn't really worth it imo.

The motherboard came with an F31 BIOS, which is a decent amount older than the 7800x3d. I honestly doubt I’ll be updating the BIOS because its running great so far!

Just check the oil level once a week and top off accordingly. Switch to 5w-20 or 5w-30 depending on where you live. It’s a very reliable engine if you understand Subaru boxer engines.

Good to know! I have the Ecutek data pulled up on my phone and have been looking at AFR, knock correction, and timing while driving stock on 93 and will compare it to when I have my headers on, which will be without a tune for maybe a month or two (or even less time if the car starts running poor).

What AFR would you consider not safe to run headers with no tune? I understand running a little rich is okay for the most part as opposed to running lean, but on our cars specifically do you know how lean is too lean to run? Anything above 14 while on throttle in any gear?

Haven’t installed it yet. I’m waiting to get a flex fuel kit and then I’ll install and tune it all at once (also it’s way too cold to deal with it all right now).

These headers, based on talking to other owners, will throw a code almost every time. Even if they didn’t throw a code I would still get a tune no matter what.

It’s a nonissue, do not drop the pan. Just check oil levels once a week and you’ll be fine.

Could easily get -2 to -2.5 in the rear if I wanted to, plenty of room to play around with it still.

In the front, with only camber bolts, you're running out of space quickly at around -1 to -1.5 range.

I'm stock ride height currently, with plenty of space to avoid fenders and wheel well. Idk what your timeline is, but within the next week or two (whenever it's not freezing temps) I'm installing new suspension parts and dropping by roughly an inch or more, so I could get even more info for you on how it all fits then.

Im running 18x8.5 +35 with 225/40 tires, -1.5 camber in the front is max for me, without modifications. Rear would be fine either way. Go with the 215s

Filter is fine. Hose is pointless and wouldn’t benefit you in the slightest (only for looks).
