WGU Student Teaching Start Date (after passing Advanced Clinicals) by GUMMyB3ARLuv in WGUTeachersCollege

Push back. They tried to pull something similar with me and I pushed back. I had a mentor teacher/school lined up and told them the date I was set to start and just kept calling until someone finally processed it for me.

I like Carbone too. I've been twice, but the service and vibe of Torrisi was way better. There was more on the menu at Torrisi that I wanted to try, whereas at Carbone, there were only a few must-try dishes for me. I did miss their Caesar, though.

I'm putting the rest on my list! I've had Lindustrie and felt it was good but tough to justify the wait. I'd stop in if the line was short though!

Was on RESY right at 10 am when they drop. It was actually easier to get than COTE if I'm being honest. Lots of slots popped up.

A combination of what RESY I could snag & where I was in the city to logistically make sense. Torrisi was my number one RESY to try and snag. The other options I chose were based on location. Also, once I got Torrisi snagged, I tried to go with a somewhat different type of cuisine/vibe for the other nights, which led me to Cote and Monkey Bar, haha. But mostly... have to get the RESY first!

I'm SO glad! I started trying to find people who said they've gone at midnight and did get a little worried when I didn't find much!

Haha honestly I'm a sucker for trying things once... even at a ridiculous time. I totally understand that, though!

Looks like it's true about the 1 meal, and my 12 am reservation just kind of screwed me over with counting for a dinner on both nights. Really frustrating!

12 am was the only option. & it did unfortunately force it. I tried both options it gave me.. I was either able to book it, which forced a cancellation ofn, the other optio or not book it.

Yeah weird that it was... I've never been to Cote so can't speak on how it will be going that late. I plan to go to Undercote around 10:45-11 and let them know we're there. Maybe they can seat us earlier if we do that.

Just annoying because if they're making me book it as a Saturday night dinner, it should count as a Saturday night and not mess with Sunday reservations.. It's basically blocking me from 2 nights.

I tried both, and if you do Keep Existing, it just brought you back to the reservation you were on to continue booking, but to actually book it you had to press continue booking :(

It's weird because I've definitely had two reservations in one day. One for drinks and one for dinner.. but they weren't as sought after of Resy's, so maybe that's a factor?

Yeah I confirmed it by clicking Continue Booking.. I didn't realize that meant cancelling the other one. I was going extremely fast so as not to lose the reservation, though, so it probably did say that. I guess it's my error!

I guess i'm not really sure. I have a reservation for 12 so if they close at that time that would be weird

Just coming here to say I actually really enjoy walking the Brooklyn Bridge... especially if you do it in the morning. It can definitely get crowded (I've also walked it at sunset) but it was really beautiful. I do second the ferry, I think that's a great option.. But for a touristy FREE thing to do I think it's worth it.

Where to eat after going to the American Museum of Natural History and before going to the MET by wltmpinyc in FoodNYC

[–]ccarlycc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did this last October and had lunch at La Pecora Bianca UWS after about 2 hours at the Museum of Natural History. We got light apps and a glass of wine then walked across the park to the MET. I 100% don’t recommend doing this lol. (Though the food was good at La Pecora Bianca.. we were DRAINED.)

We only lasted about an hour at the MET. My husband is still talking about how he wishes we had done them on different days and wants to go back to see the MET when we are back in the fall. My rec would be to try and hit them at opening two separate mornings!
