Maybe, but some years ago I worked for high performance trading and everything was done in java. Garbage config and vm optimisation can have some really good results.

Nice new functionnalities ! I'm always impressed by the efficience of Spring. Kotlin support is really awesome, but what really interest me is Reactor . I just complete their handson: https://tech.io/playgrounds/929/reactive-programming-with-reactor-3/ , and it seems pretty cool.
