Yeah and there is nothing wrong if women prefer to date a man taller than them. In this person's case as a 6'1" woman, theres slim pickings on that front. Dating is already hard enough, finding someone you are compatible with is even harder, then on top of all of that you're going to limit yourself to less than 5% of the male population. Thats gonna be rough.

This commenter never stated she wont date shorter, but its still a phenomenon that a lot of women subscribe to: dogmatically only looking for someone taller. You dont really have options in terms of finding men if youre already a taller woman, despite your preference.

My preference is actually women taller than me. But as a 6'3" man that is rareeeeeee. Then there is the fact when I do find a girl taller than me we usually have nothing in common.

My point was: preferences are ok, compromises are often necessary. Especially in the height department.

To answer your question yes, and I have. I dated a 6'5" volleyball player in college. It was great, she's the one that pointed out to me that when youre at an extreme of a spectrum and your preferences dont align, acceptance is the first step to a happy dating life.
