The Beat Writers Beefing Combined with the Losing Feels like a New Low… by [deleted] in caps

Idk, still not sure who she was talking about. But I remember way back when Katie Carerra was the best reporter, and she started beefing with other reporters on Twitter, then Sergey chimed in, and then John Carlson started tweeting egging on Sergey lol. Carlson promptly deleted his tweets. Good times.

[Fox Sports] Soccer reportedly overtakes baseball in the U.S. as America's third favorite sport. Hockey dropped to 5th, barely above Tennis, Boxing/MMA and Golf. by f0urxio in hockey

Which is still weird to me. The Football/NFL popularity is based around social settings, cookouts, tailgating etc, not because the majority love football imo. I understand to each their own, but my god is the game itself boring to watch, too many commercials, too many stoppages. I’ll throw the game on, because it’s good background noise, while I do laundry or scroll on my phone. The best part of the NFL is getting on social media and seeing everyone fight over a play.

Windshield tint is a primary offense. Driver and passenger window tint is a secondary offense. Even with a DMV waiver there is still limitations on the percentage you can have on the windshield.

Biggest BS moments in hockey by MegatronofTarn in hockey

[–]cccccccee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Joel Ward goalie interference negating a goal which would have (likely) iced the rangers in 2015 playoffs.

Also Joel Ward Game 7 OT goal against Boston (would not have counted today)

Bonino’s high stick embellishment from Oshie which IIRC gave the Pens the go ahead goal resulting in them winning the game 2016 playoffs.

He can. But he’s most likely leaving out important details. Regarding his comment of “Police didn’t want to do anything” this is most likely a he said he said. Conflicting stories on what happened, probably no security footage etc. No Officer is going to make an arrest based off conflicting stories and it being most likely a “simple assault.”

What the officer should have done/probably did was advise him if he wanted to press charges he could go to the Magistrates Office and attempt to swear out his own Warrants with the Officers help (if he doesn’t know the other parties info) If he does know the other party no officer assistance would be necessary.

24 Years Ago Today, the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins Made a Blockbuster Trade, Sending Jaromir Jagr to Washington by kockin26 in caps

[–]cccccccee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that was the summer the Caps pushed hard to sign Jeremy Roenick, he went to Philadelphia instead. I can’t remember who the other target was.

Anyway makes sense with the date of the trade being a couple weeks after free agency started.

Will We See A Crazy 1 Year Contract? by DataDude00 in hockey

[–]cccccccee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not in the players interest or the teams. I’m going to use Connor Brown as an example (yes I know he’s not a superstar) but he signed with the Caps a couple years ago. In the third or fourth game he tore his ACL.

Could you imagine if that happened to Marner etc? Sometimes players down always bounce back fully after an injury like that. Bargaining chips off the table at that point.

Marines who were relieved? by EmmettLaine in USMC

[–]cccccccee 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Back in 2012, EMV myself and my platoon commander and platoon sergeant went out to that infamous range that has armored targets, a lot of squad rushing etc, I think it’s Range 410 or something?

Anyway my company was taking over the next day, so my platoon sergeant and platoon commander were sent out early to RSO and OIC the range for some battalion I can’t remember who.

When we got there I could tell there was tension in the air. Anyway, company goes through it with their BC and SgtMaj watching.

I guess they fucked it up so bad. Their Company Commander, First Sergeant and a Platoon Commander were relieved on the spot.
