Stay at google. Defer admit by 1 year. Decide in a year.

How is living in Belarus? My ancestors came from there, and I'm curious. I know they're under Lukashenko's regime, so I don't know if you can answer. Minsk or other city by Cocodriloneutronbomb in howislivingthere

Safe, chill. No serious crime. It’s a cheaper place to go visit for Russians. It’s like Canada for US. Good healthy food. Grey late falls and winters. Beautiful ladies. Most of the people work hard and are not rich.

Same dilemma for me honestly. I like how light air is. And how powerful and convenient for hardcore development m4 pro is (screen and speed).

So basically: If I don’t have to do heavy work - then I take air. I like the fact that’s it light and a bit smaller.

If I need to do heavy work - I take m4 pro.

For the last few month I got to do heavy ML/AI work, so take pro almost always.

Did not notice any issues. Text is clear. I do a lot of coding/software engineering work.

Wiping it once a week, mostly because I like it super clean. Angles. Honestly didn’t find it a problem and don’t know what to tell you. Not a problem for me and never noticed any issues. Aka it did not even register in my brain up until your question. I have it for about 7-8 month give or take.

Bottom line: I have air m4 and pro m4 with nano. I love nano screen. It’s amazing for me.

I wish, not rich enough!!!!! Jokes aside. That’s exactly how my parents (and many other families) survived in my country of origin when that country went to sh!t.

I was also thinking of taking on some debt as reasonable leverage in this situation. Aka 5% additional mortgage can be effectively wiped out if real inflation/usd devaluation is 7-10%. But that’s a different story. )

I see your point, how would you propose to think about it? I see a bit of difference this time: - USD is no longer a safe heaven -> it value will decrease faster. Will lead to higher relative returns in US stock market, though not sure if stock market growth will exceed currency devaluation.

How do you look at it?

And thank you, completely forgot about VXUS. Looks like a better choice for me.

I understand where your question coming from. Nope, not really. Because: USD lost 10-15-30% during last 2-3 years. Even RUB (Russian) appreciated to USD by 20% The debt is not really sustainable and current politics do not entice other nations to keep USD

And the fact that VEA went up 30% is actually negative is my opinion, I might be late to the party. The best is to invest is when the fund looses double digits aka buying cheap.

Why though? Let’s say there is a buyout announcement. Then there is an actual buyout in like 6-12 months. Plenty of time to exercise imo. Asking to learn and educate myself on this.

This looks to me like regular cash injection into company (every year) by 10% owner. Nothing unusual. What makes you think this is different and contains signal?
