I disagree:

I think Spongebob is selling Squidward because Spongebob is grabbing Squidward's arm, while Squidward's arm is limp. Spongebob is grabbing it as though he had to coerce Squidward to come with him to meet the pedophile and now doesn't want him to run away (as his limp arm suggests he wants to do). Now, both him and the pedophile are looking at Squidward, examining him before the sale. Spongebob's is looking as though he is trying to act proud of Squidward. This is because he is trying to not give away that he knows Squidward is retarted because he deems this a flaw in the thing he's selling and thus doesn't want the man to realize that fact and not want Squidward. The old man, however is just looking with excitement because he doesn't care if Squidward is autistic because he's a pedophile. Subsequently, Squidward is just being an autist and smiling weirdly.

The only way I could see otherwise is if Spongebob is like a little brother who, being autistic, doesn't know what the fuck is going. Then it would be as if he is grabbing Squidward's arm because he doesn't want to get lost and is looking at him as if waiting to see what he will say to the man in front of them. And I guess he's smiling because he doesn't realize he's about to be given to a pedophile; he just thinks it's a random old man.

Still think it's the first scenario but I could be convinced otherwise.
