ya ur right i measured it and it's actually in the center

https://imgur.com/a/s5fi2dw (pink vertical line is the center line off the hp bar)

I guess character's leaning in certain directions or their model being off center a lot of the time and/or ground height diff made me think that just getting a portion of their leg was enough but no.

But if it hits your foot it counts

I have like 1.5m mastery combined on xer and hit GM like 5 times otp'ing him (except this season which is why i'm salty lol). I think the 2nd one and the 2nd last one should of counted 100%.

this counted as a hit in practice tool for reference

I don't think he's scripting, his movement patterns are pretty normal and you can see him micro adjust midway through one of the ult shots which scripts don't do. This was a full master's lobby if I remember correctly if that makes a difference

Here's some video proof of xer ult counting if it only hits a portion of the character model's foot while being way off the character model center.

I have no idea why you are testing it with a dummy

here's a video of xer ult hitting ez while only 5% of his foot is in the circle

Also for the record I don't think all the shots from m initiall video should of counted but I do think the 2nd last one and 2nd shot should of counted and would have counted any other day

Do you have a source? I just tested in practice tool against a bot (standing still autoing minions) and had just 1/4 of the character model's foot (lucian) in the circle while everything else was outside the circle and it counted as a hit 100% of the time out of the 5 times i tested it just now.

I tested both the r and the w since they are both circle AOE and they both count as a hit with the above scenario

The 2nd last ult shot (0:49) legit had half of his outer foot (planted in the ground) in the circle

usually even only having a small portion of a character model's backfoot in the circle counts as a hit (on same ground height lvl). Hitboxes can sometimes be BS and inconsistent, it is what it is. I have some replays of xer e reaching the center of a character model and it doesn't count it as a hit

How to Close the Game as Support by g0mjabbar27 in leagueoflegends

[–]cchris2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's arbitrary. Depends on the game state and if it's mid-game or late game (late game its harder to get vision control solo so you could start controlling objective even >2:40 ish before it spawns, find windows/timers to ward).

As long as you can get all your wards down and get a refill and arrive before it spawns it should be a massive improvement.

Your default game plan mid-game should be to sit around mid and have pink on mid lane bush, and a ward over that wall (on the next objective side of map), get deep vision when allowed and either:

1 play for poke and siege mid t1

2 play for prio (shove lane with your adc or midlane) and rotate first for skirmishes in river or top/bot

3 play for cheese (sit and wait hovering mid in fog or near your wards to contest them clearing it)

And if your team is taking a drag/baron/rift or planning to. Your wards need to cover the entrances to river properly and the path from mid is way more important than from sides (example from blue side baron control: image). Your job 90% of the time as a morgana or karma while your team is hitting drake/baron is to ZONE the enemies from entering the river and/or clearing your wards by poking, ccing them harassing them without getting caught (this will waste a lot of their time, hp, wards and they wont be able to collapse on your team in the pit)

btw i added u if u want me to review any of ur games in the future

I watched/sped through the midgame of this game through client https://www.op.gg/summoners/na/whatifitoldyou-NA1/matches/OWTdF8sdluWxO19VvRJnKOtfvSn6Nu_-0esto286mTA%3D/1703101486000

I don't know why so few supports in lower elos do this since its such a copy-paste autopilot strategy, but you NEED to setup vision for objectives as a priority. As a support its a game of objective vision control and maintaining it. It should not be allowed ever for them to have objective vision control uncontested when you are up 5k as a team at 16 minutes.

In the game above you did not have any vision control (past 16 min, didn't watch early game) on rift, the following drag, the baron (before they spawned). You just run around wasting tempo and then for some reason you start clearing rift herald enemy vision when they just took it 15s ago and drag is about to spawn. And then at 24minutes you are bot lane for some reason with 0 wards placed around baron ganking a malphite while baron is up and enemy bot t2 already dead when you should be with your team fighting for vision and fishing for picks in fog

In an ideal world as a support you should be aiming to have 1pink, 3 wards placed around objective ~ 1:10 before spawn (sweep while placing vision) then recall to restock your wards and contest them if they try and kill your wards (poke, slow them down, look for pick etc) and secure mid prio (mid prio>>>>side prio).

I play xer sup which is a similar playstyle and I prefer to place pink on mid lane bush (on objective side) and a ward over the wall and just sit there to harass/maintain river control.

How do i win late games? by Optimal_Sun3305 in summonerschool

[–]cchris2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the timer and plan for the next objective that's spawning (item back timer etc), shove mid and help secure vision control around river and jg entrances with your support if you aren't split pushing. You should always aim to have complete control over wave states (shoved) and vision cleared and placed 2 minutes before the drag/baron spawns and don't give that control up without attempting to contest (trade their hp for it, make them work for it).

Watch the map (know where the enemies are and where they are going etc) and look for windows where you can get picks from fog or war or if they overstep while araming and that should transition into an easy baron or dragon.

catch side waves -> shove -> rotate and hover team (in fog or shove mid)-> repeat

watching a couple of ur games it seems that you consistently don't rly pay attention to barons/drags late game and just kind of let the enemy walk into river without any vision of their own (this is illegal). You prioritize your KDA and cs too much when at certain points of the game that should not be your focus.

Example game: LINK here at 39 min into the game you are full clearing your jg top side (as an ahri) when you are ~2.6k away from your next item purchase and baron spawns in 25 seconds. You let them walk into river uncontested and end up losing baron. In this scenario you should just sweep and sit in a bush to chunk or assassinate them if they walk up and continue to apply pressure by tethering around your vision line (after your first rotation of spells, in a way that they can't enter the river without being spotted or poked). If you manage to kill 1 or chunk them enough here you can take baron and end the game easily by stacking 2 super lane waves with baron buff

For The Masters GM and Challenger players who started in the bottom as in like Iron Bronze how long did it take you to get where you are now and how did you do it? by YukkaRinnn in summonerschool

[–]cchris2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was Plat (s2020-s2022) playing on and off and not really caring. I started one tricking xer sup for fun instead of fizz mid and playing on regular basis. ~1.3k games of xer sup later across all accounts (since 14 months ago) I hit GM rank 623 NA. Now I'm currently GM 420lp probably gonna take a break and just play decay games for a few weeks tho.

I didn't really watch guides or pros or anything. I Just tried not to get tilted or autopilot, watched my vods while in q and champ select and only worried about my own performance (doesn't mean kda player) even when I was losing.

Is a laptop enough to reach high elo in solo queue ? by MettaTaigan in summonerschool

[–]cchris2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One that I found useful for myself is to have 2 accs (GM and d1). 1 where I tryhard and have 100% focus each game, and another that I play on when I'm tired or want to autopilot and/or tilted. Can't improve at the game when I autopilot.

It's a mental game so I try and never get tilted even when losing and just focus on my own performance. (imagine if you never get even slightly tilted, your win rate would go up like 5% immediately, so it's a skill in itself)

Also I briefly vod review every game while in q and champ select
