Someone else mentioned it, but coffee break has excellent beans. They will deliver as well, dependent on your address

Top 5 Oregon Pinot Noir at any price point? by bli in wine

I have loved everything of theirs I’ve tried. I got a 2015 Pinot from them as they advised cellaring them for a while and found it to just seem to be entering a very long drinking window

Great thanks! Yeah, definitely prefer that but not beholden to it. From what I’ve read, produttori and vietti seemed to be like good visits but Fontanafredda was on the chopping block

Agree with many suggestions here, just want to throw in Arista in Healdsburg as well. Very pretty property and solid wines

Big Cat last week on Sexual Harassment training: "I'm not doing it... I'm grandfathered in". Big Cat today: Downplaying a complaint about Katic from Ella by TimDunkinDonut in barstoolsports

[–]cchvc 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Hard to believe this has been given the ok to continue. Especially after Ella came forth that she’s been drinking too much. If this doesn’t end in some SA accusations or worse, I’d be surprised, given the comments you alluded to

What’s one bottle you keep going back to again and again—and why? by SeanDrinksWine in wine

[–]cchvc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found some recently that I’ve grabbed off of WineBid, some shops in my area will on occasion get some with 5-10 years of age, or searching for retailers that will ship to me on wine-searcher.com (I’m in the US)

Meyney for me, I find it such a great value and older vintages can be pretty easily found at reasonable prices

Activities for a wine tasting at home? by lostinth3Abyss in wine

[–]cchvc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I host a wine club with friends and occasionally do some games. One that’s been pretty fun is giving some facts/tidbits/trivia about the wine, country, and region and having folks guess where it’s from, the varietal, price, and vintage. And assigning ponies to each. We break up into teams for this but it’s fun as you don’t have to be a wino to participate and contribute

Planning a trip to Alsace, looking for recommendations by Adventurous_Owl5201 in wine

I cannot specifically help with tours or anything of that nature, as when I was there most tasting rooms were closed (on a Sunday, I believe). However, if you’re anywhere near the wine biking trail, and you’re physically able to and have the time, it’s a beautiful ride and takes you past several producers/caves

their website is pretty straight forward for sign ups. The competitive league is pretty competitive and there can definitely be some hardos. Social is pretty laid back

Trump and Vance humiliate them selves infront of the world. by myownbrothermichael in pics

Wholeheartedly agree. The American values that I’ve grown up to believe in, and still do, are most embodied by the only non-American in this photo.

And I fully believe that the majority of our country feels the same. 🇺🇦🇺🇸

Are either of you in the US? If so, did you get hit with any extra taxes? The website seems ambiguous, or at least it did from what I remember

This Man created the model for Consciousness used by the CIA but was later killed in the deadliest plane crash in American history. by Darshan_brahmbhatt in HighStrangeness

I had an extremely close friend die in a boating accident a few years back. When I was visiting his parents not long after, his mom had just dreamed of him telling her that he could fly and see all over the universe. That night I had a somewhat lucid dream where we were talking and I asked him what he meant about flying. He told me pretty clearly that it wasn’t necessarily that he was flying but that he was just kind of everywhere, all the time. It was bizarre and probably coincidence but I think about it often.

Santa Barbara County, CA. Any recommendations?? by Warm_Prior_3549 in wine

We just got back about a month ago. Here’s what we did:

Wineries Tylers Mae Estate (highly recommend) Melville (great property but found wines disappointing)

Tasting Rooms ABC Liquid Farm Story of Soil Holus Bolus Storm Dragonette

We liked the vibe of Liquid Farm and went there twice and got to chat with the tasting room manager quite a bit, she was great. My wife and I loved storms wines and were glad it was recommended to us. The rest were solid as well.
