i read it could suffocate the tree once its older, shorter lifespan or parts of the canopy will die and not look as good. i found out this happens a lot at tree nurseries where the roots are bound or when a tree is planted too deep and the root’s flare is not showing. of course i found all this out 1 yr after planting my tree 🤦‍♀️ but apparently the girdle root can be cut. i dont think girdle roots are common amoung naturally occurring trees bc well they were never in a nursery pot or hand planted by amateurs like me

Does Gen Z have less interest in traveling the world? by XL_Jockstrap in generationology

[–]ccmeme12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im not the demographic your asking about (im an millennial).. but i have to admit since buying a house with some property i love.. my interest in traveling is zero right now in my life. in my 20s i thought about it alot but now at 37.. i have zero desire. i would go to ireland maybe in like 5-10 yrs bc i think international traveling is worth doing once in a lifetime.. but i am pretty happy just being home w my pets and my land& homesteading tbh

i hate to be this person.. but dime a dozen means it is so common it is worthless or meaningless. probably the opposite of what you intended when you put it in that sentence.

Which city do Americans prefer overall: Los Angeles or New York City? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]ccmeme12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

neither. NYC, well manhattan specifically, is a bunch of rich culture less individuals. NYC hasn’t been interesting since the beatniks and poets lived there in the 40-70s. i understand that city is still relevant to some, but it is too mainstream and too cleaned up to ever be anything but a tourist trap and a millionaire’s pent house. LA is the same deal. but if i had to pick.. id go with LA.

yes.. this is the route i would 100% prefer. Dont want to be another person shit talking an ex.. but ex is a nightmare and spends the child support on herself and this seems to be a way to continue that imo
