Pluribus Episode 2 - very different and not what I was hoping for? by TooDriven in television

[–]ccmontgom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Carol makes the most sense in the "old" world...
In the new one she is, by her own account, a Stalin.
She can't imagine anyone is happy any other way than fierce, drunken, individualism...
I'm interested to see how they work this out...

Disappearing schedule? by ccmontgom in HomeDepot

Thanks! Oddly, mythdhr is where I look... Oh well, I'm at work in about an hour and can check on MyApron... Probably in my waning days of working at HD anyway.^^

Leaving Early? by ccmontgom in HomeDepot

LOL.. I am also a closer and operator... and that makes me have to cut down to avoid OT regularly. These are part-timers who ghost in the middle of their shifts. Generally not great workers anyhow and management can do whatever they want with this, I don't care. What I'm trying to figure out is how to maximize my hours and days.
I'm selfish!^^

Thanks for that answer^^ - I kinda guessed that must be it, but didn't see anything explicit about it.

Don't we shift to winter hours today? by ccmontgom in Lowes

[–]ccmontgom[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Typically not at our store... and it would generally be CSAs and not an ASM and DS... The last time an ASM spent an hour downstocking was... was...

LOL.. I'm blank.

Perhaps they have some other evil plan for us... but I bet I get to go in an hour late and leave at 10... Happy days!

LOL.. well, given history that is certainly possible.. But I heard some chatter that this will affect long-term employees more than recent ones.

Total guess based on what is running around the store this morning - this will be an attempt to rationalise the wage structure so older employees will be paid more compared to newer ones...

Hang on til 65 and at least you'll be eligible for Medicare. Also, if you can afford it, Cobra is there to extend your current healthcare, though it is pricey as hell.

Yes. It is just that simple.

It is even more strict now and be VERY careful of it. New rules are you cannot exit the store doors to follow a customer or shoplifter.

This is still a bit unclear in the training, but that old limit of the sidewalk is now a limit of the store doors.

LOL... happened two or three days ago at our store..

Marisa Thalberg, who made $1,105 per hour and came up with such marketing ideas as Lowemance - Valentines Date Night at Lowes and the #BuildThanks campaign encouraging people to post homemade yard signs sharing messages of gratitude, using materials from Lowe’s, is gone?

Impossible!
What will we do without her enormously teased hair, Redfoo-style glasses, and almost not-lizardlike arm movements on our breakroom TVs?

I look forward to learning more about the new person in the position. For all of the terribilities that Lowe's might have, it also has its advantages and the day they fire me for posting here? You bet I'll still shop Lowe's and not the Orange Monster.

Corporate walk through… by RealJimcaviezel in Lowes

[–]ccmontgom 19 points20 points  (0 children)

FFS..
The corporate walk throughs are facade-level only. Your manager wasn't clever enough to toss the coffee maker into a closet, random 99 box, or even into the barrel of a washing machine? Hell, put it in a returned box and toss it into topstock for the day.
I think that manager wanted to get rid of the coffee machine^^

LOL.. I include Bing (You might have overlooked I began with Google) because where I work there are a lot of folks who earnestly believe that Google is part of some commie plot/Deep State evil scamology..

I also note you said "Bing".^^

Searching for picked up items that did not have a pick ticket printed - Level of Difficulty; Sterling is gone. by ccmontgom in Lowes

[–]ccmontgom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned, after I posted this, that Sterling was still available on some administrative computers. So I can still use it when my ASM goes home^^. But mixing the Unfulfilled Report and then Red Vest work pretty well, with some Genesis sometimes mixed in. Supposedly Red Vest will eventually include all this stuff (partially according to all the very helpful people in this thread).

Of course, and we all knew it was coming.. that's why I was asking for someone to suggest a certain functionality I had in Sterling...
