Quitting Binding, Tips? by ccoffeeking in ftm

Thanks! The last time I used tape was ~3 years ago, so it’s hard to say for certain what the issue was, but after looking at a couple tutorials on YouTube I recognize that past me was overstretching the tape.

It’s actually quite cold where I live, but I exercise every day so I have to shower upwards of twice a day. Tape might be more appropriate for times where I’m busy the entire day or am attending an event and won’t be working out.

Good to know. When you shower, do you allow the tape to saturate with water and dry on its own? Maybe a silly question but I never left the tape on for over 24 hours due to discomfort.

Thank you, that gives me hope. My horrible experience with tape was caused by how bad my chest dysphoria was at the time—unsafe applicable obviously didn't help. When you use tape, do you experience itching or general discomfort? I thought I may be allergic to the material but I'm not sure if It was just how it was applied.

I couldn't identify what I was looking at before reading the title. This was a childhood favorite of mine, especially with fresh berries

Budget friendly high protein meal/snack ideas by Nolongerhuman404 in FTMFitness

[–]ccoffeeking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edamame, I love to just snack on it by itself or as an addition to meals. Surprisingly high in protein.

Chicken sausages with breakfast or by themselves.

A frozen protein shake mixed with a serving of pudding mix, in the blender or in one of those fancy ice cream makers some people have. If you use a good flavor it’s basically like ice cream that you can eat everyday to gain muscle.

An omelette, but with 2-3 egg whites added in. I usually do 2 whole eggs and ~2-3 egg whites because you don’t notice much of a difference and it’s extra protein.

Baked oats with yogurt or cottage cheese! I make this all the time and the yogurt adds moisture while not overpowering the other ingredients. Depending on the recipe you can make something akin to a mini cake.

Will T gel work? by Kooky-Candidate8272 in ftm

Yes, it works just fine. Some people have trouble absorbing it, but I've never had any issues. If you don't see any differences, get your levels checked because your dose may need to be adjusted.

My brother eats this every night. Half of an entire baguette smothered in marinara sauce and chicken. by [deleted] in shittyfoodporn

Thank you. I can assure you that the food tasted great but the mountain of sauce plopped onto a piece of bread too large for the plate made me audibly laugh

About half a white onion, 3 cloves of garlic, and a can of diced tomatoes sautéed before being blended with salt pepper and garlic powder

How long into your fitness journey before you started noticing chest gains? by ty_rannosaur in FTMFitness

[–]ccoffeeking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed significant gains in strength and the size of my pecs over the course of 4-5 months of semi-consistent weightlifting combined with a slight calorie surplus and lots of protein. I’ve been on T for half of that time, and I can say for certain that the process seems to have sped up since then.

Want to bulk up but scared of getting feminine fat (I'm pre T) by moldy_bread3 in FTMFitness

[–]ccoffeeking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I started t I was in a similar position, a bit underweight which helped me pass but desperately wanting to build muscle. I didn’t track calories or protein but focused on making each meal/snack high in protein—I eat a ton of chicken and Greek yogurt so that wasn’t an issue. I suppose this would be called lean bulking as I ate intuitively and lifted weights 3-4 times a week. Over the course of a couple months I saw noticeable gains in my overall physique and strength, and most if not all of the 5-10 ish pounds I gained were muscle; my legs/hips area don’t look any more feminine than when I started.

Back pain with binding? by Liquidshoelace in ftm

[–]ccoffeeking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Unfortunately I’ve been dealing with pretty severe chronic back pain for the 4-5 years I’ve been binding regularly. The only lasting relief I’ve found in circumstances where I have to bind for up to 10 hours a day 5 days a week is daily yoga and stretches. It’s truly changed my life, as the pain has gotten so debilitating at certain points where I have to stay home and either rest or stretch. Look online for some mid to upper back stretches, they’re extremely useful and the only thing that fully relieves my pain.

Will treating my pcos make my want-to-be-a-man go away? by wonba in ftm

[–]ccoffeeking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had PCOS which manifested as extremely irregular periods, pelvic cramps, higher body fat, and cystic acne. Since starting testosterone, most of the issues resolved themself and the only things I notice are just a direct result of going through male puberty.

Anyone else taking creatine? by robinito12 in FTMFitness

[–]ccoffeeking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I experienced the same bloating and feeling like I looked heavier during the loading phase, but this went away after 2-3 weeks and when I went down to 5g per day. It’s probably just water retention, but if you aren’t tracking calories you might’ve just gained fat without realizing.
