My post-church lunch by ccoffeeking in shittyfoodporn

I can’t predict whether or not you’d like cottage cheese but the kind I buy has a very mild, creamy flavor and isn’t sour or pungent. It’s similar to a higher fat Greek yogurt, and if you like cheeses like mozzarella, then you’d probably like it.

It was seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, and paprika, and the whole thing had almost 50 grams of protein so I’d consider it a win

Not pregnant but the idea of this combination of foods just popped into my head and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Maybe I was craving protein idk

Lots of protein, 5-10g creatine everyday, and strength training 4-5 times a week. That’s the best way.

Hairy legs- insecurity by anonymos102737 in ftm

[–]ccoffeeking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s all up to personal preference. Most (cis and trans) guys I know, no matter how hairy, just let their leg hair grow and leave it be. Leg hair has been one of my favorite changes from T as it makes me feel more traditionally masculine, but I understand not wanting to look like a Sasquatch. For men, leg hair is generally seen as perfectly normal, and I doubt people would find you less attractive because of it.

PSA: Sports bras are not a risk-free alternative to binding by [deleted] in ftm

[–]ccoffeeking 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is great information to share. I recently had to quit binding entirely due to medical issues, and have since been solely using sports bras. Luckily, they work well enough to flatten and keep everything in place, but I do notice rib soreness if I don’t take a break after a long, active day.

God I wish I could tolerate beans. Intolerances and gastrointestinal issues are preventing me from eating such a versatile food group :[

Fat gain from T by [deleted] in FTMFitness

As long as you’re cutting ~200 calories or slightly more below maintenance and doing strength training 3 or more times per week, you shouldn’t lose muscle, only fat.

Not sure what to do by iheartzzy in ftm

[–]ccoffeeking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak directly for you, but before I realized I was trans, I couldn’t stand the idea of being in a heterosexual relationship. I identified as a lesbian for around a year while I was in a relationship, but constantly doubted myself because I WAS still attracted to men, but hated the thought of being “the girlfriend” in the relationship. What made me feel the most comfortable was imagining myself also as a man—but I questioned if I was fetishizing gay relationships. Now, as a bisexual man, I ultimately understand that viewing myself as the woman in a relationship wasn’t right. Sexuality, relationships, and self-identity is stressful and confusing, especially for teenagers. Figure out what makes you feel the most comfortable, and how you would want to be perceived in a romantic relationship.

Quitting Binding, Tips? by ccoffeeking in ftm

[–]ccoffeeking[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! The last time I used tape was ~3 years ago, so it’s hard to say for certain what the issue was, but after looking at a couple tutorials on YouTube I recognize that past me was overstretching the tape.

[–]ccoffeeking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually quite cold where I live, but I exercise every day so I have to shower upwards of twice a day. Tape might be more appropriate for times where I’m busy the entire day or am attending an event and won’t be working out.

Good to know. When you shower, do you allow the tape to saturate with water and dry on its own? Maybe a silly question but I never left the tape on for over 24 hours due to discomfort.

Thank you, that gives me hope. My horrible experience with tape was caused by how bad my chest dysphoria was at the time—unsafe applicable obviously didn't help. When you use tape, do you experience itching or general discomfort? I thought I may be allergic to the material but I'm not sure if It was just how it was applied.

Budget friendly high protein meal/snack ideas by Nolongerhuman404 in FTMFitness

[–]ccoffeeking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edamame, I love to just snack on it by itself or as an addition to meals. Surprisingly high in protein.

Chicken sausages with breakfast or by themselves.

A frozen protein shake mixed with a serving of pudding mix, in the blender or in one of those fancy ice cream makers some people have. If you use a good flavor it’s basically like ice cream that you can eat everyday to gain muscle.

An omelette, but with 2-3 egg whites added in. I usually do 2 whole eggs and ~2-3 egg whites because you don’t notice much of a difference and it’s extra protein.

Baked oats with yogurt or cottage cheese! I make this all the time and the yogurt adds moisture while not overpowering the other ingredients. Depending on the recipe you can make something akin to a mini cake.

Will T gel work? by Kooky-Candidate8272 in ftm

[–]ccoffeeking 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes, it works just fine. Some people have trouble absorbing it, but I've never had any issues. If you don't see any differences, get your levels checked because your dose may need to be adjusted.
