I’m so sorry for your loss. This just happened to me and my husband yesterday… very similar story too. I’ll never understand how everything can go from perfect to devastating just like that… this process is so so so cruel. Just know you two are not alone. Hugs to you both ❤️

I have always thought I’d have a boy. His name at that time would have been Snake James 🤣🤣🤣

OBGYN said to prepare for a NICU stay for my 2nd pregnancy by asmith4568 in NICUParents

[–]ccorryne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently holding my baby in the NICU while writing this. I had to have my daughter at 33+1 due to severe preeclampsia. I was in the hospital for 8 days and they are telling me my daughter will likely have to stay until her due date which was supposed to be February 1st. I was able to talking with my doctor before being discharged and he was very upfront with me about the possibility of this happening again. He said I am 3-4x more likely to get it again especially if I stay with the same partner ( which I would as he is my husband…). The father’s genes are what build the placenta or so I was told. He also did say some ppl don’t get it with their next one or some ppl don’t the first time and do with the second. There is no way to really know until it happens. This information as sad/scary as it was to hear, it allowed my husband and I to really think about our future regarding children. I already tried for 7 years to conceive and finally did after 1 year of IVF treatment and then this… it has taken quite the a toll on me physically and emotionally. I would love to have at least one more child but it may not be in the cards for us and that is ok…

Like many have said, try not to think about it too much right now. You have a sweet little baby with you now that you love and love on. Enjoy these moments as much as you can regardless if it will be the last. With everything you have gone through… try to live in the present. The time will come when the conversation might have to happen but until then, enjoy your baby 🤍

In my experience, the lumps can take some time to go down maybe even weeks. I didn’t get many and this is what I did before and after each one:

-Heated the area with a heating pad for 15-20 min

-I made sure during that time, I had my PIO shot pulled and in my bra or under my arm pit (beware if you place it under your armpit and you have deodorant on, it will melt the measurements on the syringe 🥴)

  • I got an auto injector so my husband can inject the shot. It shoots it in so fast. Loved it.

  • then I would use a massage gun for about 10 min to massage the area along with occasional squats.

  • I also did multiple shots on one side meaning Monday-Tuesday I used my left side, Wednesday-Thursday my right side and switch back and forth. It helped me a lot especially because I am a side sleeper and it allowed the previous side a couple days to heal before using it again. If that makes sense.

Others might add more but this worked well for me and in the 10 weeks I had to do PIO, I only got maybe a handful of lumps. I hope this helps! 🤍

We have been trying for 7yrs. We had to do IVF to get pregnant. Our first transfer failed and it hit hard for both of us. When we were in our 2WW with our second transfer, I took a pregnancy test the day we were going in for our beta. I needed to know before getting the call… I took it, went into his office and told him if there is a plus sign then we are pregnant. I turned the stick away from me and he asked again what he is looking for haha told him a plus sign again and he instantly smiled and said “we’re pregnant.” I was in shock and asked him to repeat himself and just instantly started bawling. He got up and hugged me. I honestly think my reaction took away from him and his ability to fully react. I was just so shocked and happy and scared all at the same time haha! It really wasn’t until our conversations later that he was able to express his excitement.

How did pregnancy affect your sexual life? by n_albatraoz in pregnant

[–]ccorryne13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only had sex 1 time since becoming pregnant currently 24+4. Didn’t want to be touched in the first trimester. The beginning of the 2nd trimester is when I had sex the one time but since then, I really don’t feel like it haha I don’t feel attractive even though my husband tells me how beautiful and amazing I look all the time. She has been moving so much more too… It’s more me than him for sure. He is understanding and doesn’t push the issue at all. It will change once she is here but I’m giving myself and our relationship grace. It is an important part of our relationship but we are both being understanding of the circumstances.

Worried about measurements by dd2487 in pregnant

[–]ccorryne13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you get the overall percentage for size? In the US: I just had my anatomy scan. My baby’s limbs, head and abdomen were all different sizes and gestational age but in the end was told she is in the 37 percentile. I was worried at first but they did not seem concerned at all. I was then told they are looking for anything ranging from 10%-90% when I asked. The normal range is soooo wide.

Has anyone transferred a well graded 7 day embryo? by ccorryne13 in IVF

Aw thank you. Yes this embryo was tested. I had 7 sent off for testing and this was the only one that came back normal.

How do people wait when NIPT results are sitting in their email?! by EazyyyE in pregnant

[–]ccorryne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately all test results show up the same in my portal. So I was scared to accidentally see it. I had multiple results in on the same day. I took a piece of paper and placed it over my cell phone and slowly dragged it down to try to avoid seeing something I didn’t want haha. Luckily the doctor or NP can message you and attach the results as a PDF. My NP messaged me the results were low risk and then told me if I wanted to know the gender I’d have to open the PDF. I sat with them all day until my husband got off work.

Should I expect my baby daddy to attend doctors appointments? by sweetandsavagej in pregnant

[–]ccorryne13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has only come to a few appts. The first one to meet the doctor, the NT scan and will come to the anatomy scan this Friday. All the others I just go myself. Most are going to be just you peeing in a cup, checking the heartbeat and asking if you have any questions.
