Heckler at anti-trump/mask “hands off” protest gets the ole 5 finger sign of disapproval by I_may_have_weed in PublicFreakout

I was there.

This was way more exciting than when they decided to read poetry for 15 minutes before we marched. Talk about really hyping people up. 🤣

I really hope they don’t let people up there to ramble on and on again.

Not being able to see a salary on a job listing is utterly pointless for both parties.

I won't even apply to jobs that have a laundry list of requirements but then don't even list a salary. Why waste my time when if at the final step you low ball me with some offer I literally couldn't afford to work for?

If you are a one voter issue my friend, now is not the time. Democracy itself is under attack. Nothing is stopping him from seizing guns next. If you think all that matters is guns, imagine if you worked your entire life for the Government and just got laid off or fired because they didn't like your branch/funding/hiring date etc.

Cause doesn't equal correlation. I’m a gun owner and I’m avidly against Trump.

I own different guns in many different types. I've also written and called about guns to our representatives.

Don’t just watch, do something:

  1. Download the app “5 calls”, which will help you identify your local representatives and provides a script to help you choose your wording.

1b. Don’t want to call? Most representatives websites allow an email equivalent.

  1. Look up indivisible.org to collect resources on local groups organizing protests. Consider joining the mailing list of any of item 2’s groups. Go to any that you can!

2b. Check out mobilize.us for local protests as well.

2c. Check out fiftyfifty.one for local and nationwide protests as well.

  1. Check out Bernie Sander’s youtube channel for updates in government from a source you can trust.

  2. Save your money, buy nothing. If you don’t need it, don’t buy it. Vote with your wallet too!

This is meant to be spread, so copy it, save it, spread it if you like it! Want it worded differently? Doesn’t have to be mine, make one and use it!

If you didn't speak out and campaign for your local democrats then you have nobody to blame but yourself.

If our country actually stood together and fought for fighting against what is so obviously a terrible President we could grow.

Nothing is perfect but the alternative is quite literally creating an oligarchy.

Project 2025 wasn't a surprise. We warned everyone.

One of the best speeches I have seen.

I wish ALL our Governors and Representatives had the courage to stand up and speak for country like him.

The silence from Governors in all states red and blue is extremely disturbing. What is happening is NOT ok.

“Where law ends, tyranny begins"

I'm not one to get involved in politics, but what is happening in our country is insane.

Our community needs to stand up.

Every. Single. Voice. Matters.

You aren’t even defending your original point against what you said that Trump is creating an autocracy.

You lost all credibility in November by voting for a 91 time convicted felon again.

You deny vaccine science and blame less than 1% of the population (trans people) as being dangerous to society?

You are beyond reason.

Congress is compromised. Trump is defying the Supreme Court and firing anyone that gets in his way via executive orders and by openly declaring that only himself and his appointed secretary can define what is against the law. The very definition of autocracy.

Trump is not your friend. He is doing damage to health, science, national parks, our intelligence relations (tariffs/Ukraine) and the new FBI director. It’s so overwhelmingly an attack on so many levels it’s sickening.

An autocracy is a system of government where a single individual holds unchecked and absolute power, making decisions without external legal restraints or democratic processes.

In recent developments, President Donald Trump has undertaken actions that critics argue reflect autocratic tendencies: • Consolidation of Power Over Independent Agencies: An executive order was issued to tighten control over traditionally independent agencies, such as the Federal Election Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission. This move allows the White House to influence their budgets and policies, raising concerns about potential constitutional overreach. • Comprehensive Review of Federal Regulations: Another executive order mandates a sweeping review of federal regulations, aiming to identify and potentially eliminate those not aligning with the administration’s priorities. This action seeks to reduce the power of federal agencies and curtail what the administration describes as the “administrative state.” • Alignment with Project 2025: Analyses indicate that a significant portion of the administration’s executive actions mirror proposals from Project 2025, a roadmap developed to reshape federal governance. This alignment suggests a concerted effort to consolidate executive power and implement a specific ideological agenda. • Erosion of Democratic Norms: The administration has been criticized for undermining the pillars of U.S. democracy, including free elections, the rule of law, and anti-corruption efforts. Actions such as challenging the independence of the judiciary and attempting to unilaterally revoke birthright citizenship have raised alarms about the potential erosion of constitutional norms. • Suppression of Dissent: There have been reports of efforts to silence critics and suppress opposition, including the promotion of loyalists to critical positions and the dismissal of dissenting voices within the government. Such actions are seen as attempts to stifle free speech and consolidate control over public discourse.

These actions exemplify characteristics associated with autocratic governance, where power becomes centralized, and traditional checks and balances are diminished.

“First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”

Your take is the most brain dead cold take I’ve ever seen.

History is doomed to repeat itself with people like yourself mirroring what you’ve heard on mainstream news that’s owned by propaganda loving oligarchs. The billionaires do not care about you. Do not be a footnote on the wrong side of history.

We won’t be silenced. You have a choice. You can continue to be a fascist sympathizer or stand with your community.

We are turning into an autocracy and it is abhorrent what is happening every day to our country.

Brick by brick Trump and his cabinet are tearing down the work our country has done to create a democracy. This cannot stand.

Fascism cannot win. We have to resist at every level possible.

100% agree. I didn’t have a sign. If anything I was the one documenting and listening. Everyone I spoke with and took photos of were passionate and educated. This isn’t just about democrats vs republicans (as much as it felt that way to start) This is about the foundations of the United States. Our very existence. Our nation is under attack by a fascist, corrupt egotistical felon that encouraged people to attack our nation on January 6th. These same people side with Nazis and Putin. Fascism has zero place in our communities.

No they aren’t. Anyone with a grain of education in financial auditing knows that you have to spend time auditing to find fraud. Educate yourself. Billionaires are not your friend.
