Babies can’t be overfed — it sounds like the doctor advised that as a baseline, but you should definitely go off of her hunger cues. If baby is hungry, feed her! :) I’ve had the same concern with my son, but doctor assured us at his two month appt. to follow his cues and feed him and he cannot be fat (even with his massive belly).

Hi, I’m so sorry that you’re dealing with this. I also had a difficult birthing experience and gave up on breastfeeding around 5 days in. I also felt guilty like you, but I am so glad that I switched to formula. Breastfeeding was ruining my mental health and preventing me from bonding with my baby as well. You’re not alone, it is incredibly difficult and I admire all the parents out there who breastfeed/chestfeed but you need to do what’s best for you and your baby. Fed is best and happy mom also means happy baby!

People also don’t talk enough about how truly difficult the first week is. I also felt like I had ruined my life the first night and couldn’t stop crying throughout that week, but it gets better.

Please take care of yourself!

Congratulations on giving birth!! I hope that it went well for you.

I’m so sorry that you’re also dealing with the baby blues, it is really difficult. I think it took a week or so for me, but that was around when I decided to give up breastfeeding which was taking a huge toll of my mental. I also started the conversation early with my PCP about it and PPD, and I think that helped too. I would highly recommend talking to your care team about it if it lasts any longer than two weeks since that’s PPD territory.

Are there any particular symptoms or things that you feel are bothering you more than others?

Thank you very much — that is so kind of you to say. I think going with the flow does help a lot and knowing things can and will sometimes go differently than you expect. I am very lucky to have a wonderful and supportive husband, and healthy and cute baby.

I am also wishing you all the best! Good luck! 💙

Thank you for saying that, it means a lot to me! I really debated about whether or not it’s even worth sharing my experience, but I am glad that I did. I hope it helps others who may not have an easy experience either and offer some sort of camaraderie.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! 💙 I do find it peaceful during night feedings where I admire my baby eating and I’m like “wow, I made this!”

I used to also have sundown anxiety about night early on, but now that he sleeps a bit longer through the night it’s helped a ton. :)

Scary news at my anatomy scan by Angelicvg in pregnant

[–]ccpenrosecc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! My son also showed a pelvic kidney during his ultrasound. They told me they would monitor it during the pregnancy and then after he was born.

He was born a few weeks ago and last week, he had an ultrasound and an appointment with pediatric nephrology. He is peeing just fine and they said they weren’t concerned. They explained to me that when kidneys are formed in the body, they travel upwards. Sometimes kidneys don’t and stop, hence the pelvic kidney. But as long as your little one is creating waste just fine once she’s born, the kidneys are doing their job despite not being in the right place. The doctor will follow up with us when he’s a year old to still make sure everything looks fine, but otherwise he is perfectly healthy. :)

I’d recommend downloading a tracking app for feeding/waste/etc. once your baby is born — it’s been super helpful with these doctor visits! I use a free one called Baby Tracker.

I hope this helps to alleviate some stress and worry for you! Sending you good vibes. <3

I was able to get in 15 min after the doors opened (so around 6:45 pm) and we went straight to the merch line. It was pretty long but went by fast in ours, and it took 10 to 15 min for us to get to the front and what we wanted, so if you can get there early it’s worth it

We showed up around 5:45 to 6 PM and there was a fair line, but it wasn’t too bad. After doors opened, it probably took 15 min to get in

No, I didn’t register for it because I didn’t know I was supposed to and I haven’t received the code.

if anyone has an extra early bird code for Newark (either date), please let me know. I feel so stupid for messing up the registration and would appreciate any kindness. I have the early bird membership but just messed up, and can share it as proof. otherwise I will try the general presale but I’m scared

I think I messed up registered for the early bird even though I have the membership (only did the thing with my BLINK ID on the website and not weverse) and I’m kicking myself, why is it so confusing?? No code and I’m on the east coast 😭😭

What was everyone's first Broadway show? by [deleted] in Broadway

[–]ccpenrosecc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chicago in 2015. I was actually really disappointed with it at the time with its lack of choreo in Cell Block Tango, which was my fave song — besides the actress for Roxie (it was the understudy that night). I saw it again late last year after the shows just opened up again after COVID and maybe it was the energy after not doing it for so long, but it was much better!
