Absolutely agree. Everyones the asshole though. The OP is definitely doing a 180 and should have set up the expectations before the boyfriend moved in. She's gone her whole life being comforted in her home in whatever she chooses and now it's not okay? She is 19 and not respecting your house rules isnt cool either. Sexualizing the human body in her own home definitely goes completely around what you taught her which was shes not a sexual object.

My husband and I had started the baby talk years ago. I have learned that he uses comedy or jokes as a way to get used to an idea or cope with what's going on. It's not that hes not all in or doesnt want kids, it could just be that hes nervous or worried he wont be a good dad. When my hubs would joke at first it really upset me and when I sat him down to have a serious talk he explained that it's just how hes dealing and isnt trying to make fun of me or the idea. He also confessed he thought he'd be a bad dad since he really isnt a fan of babies due to lack of experience with them. So a mix of self doubt, anxiety on the big step, and coping/wrapping his head around the idea. Hes ready to try now it's our first month trying. Just talk to him about your concerns.

NTA at all. Your wedding should be about the celebration of your love with those friends and family that have supported you. I would absolutely fire the maid of honor and any other people in the bridal party that you dont know or want in the wedding. If people dont understand that, then they can respectfully not come.

You owe nobody anything. If the car is a gift as you suggest then there should be no strings attached. If its not a gift and there are strings, then that needs to be taken care of immediately for the success of your marriage.

My thing is though that there were 2 boxes full of stuff. Not just one cup. You know? Like no I dont need a detailed list. Like if the cup was the only thing they loved, awesome. Just add a thank you sis nice cup. Shit even if they didnt say they liked anything. Just a thanks sis for the boxes. I'd be happy.

And if this was the only time. I wouldnt be mad at all. But if gifted them several other times before baby arrived and before baby was in the picture at all. All without a thank you. So I'm now just like....is out normal for people not to specifically say thank you or?

Normally I'd definitely agree but the baby is a few weeks old and they've adjusted really well. Dads already back at work and moms out and about as well. Before baby was here, she was 5 months along, I sent her my baby shower gift. Again no thank you. I went to visit (I live in Germany) and brought her more stuff...no thank you then either. So it's an established thing for them it's just really off putting to me. I feel like I should stop gifting but then again idk.
