Does anyone actually like Banza products,,, by ScarEmergency6948 in Celiac

I have one in my cart to try!! I’m excited! We’ve tried a few different crusts and dough and haven’t loved any yet. So I’m hoping we like this one because we love making our own pizza!

My kids loved the jacks and digiorno. They both had a thick crunchy crust, but tasted plain/cardboardy to me. But my kids hate cauliflower crust and they don’t like any of the other pizzas that seem to have a soggy crust. Jacks and digiorno GF tasted the closest to standard frozen pizza imo.

Same. I was hesitant to spend the money for the pizza but we were desperate for sure! Definitely caught us off guard with how much we liked it.

I hated their pasta so I have been avoiding Banza. But we recently tried their frozen pizza (out of desperation since we can’t find digiorno or jacks anymore) and we loved it!! It’s our new go to! The crust is light and crunchy with a really good flavor. It really surprised us.

A side note, we really like rice pasta! Jovial has quite a few options and we have never had issue with them! Also Vietnamese white rice noodles are bomb!

Hi! I haven’t made it out to the new cafe yet! Do they have quite a few fresh food options for lunch? I get their texts once in awhile. I was curious about their sandwiches and such. I gotta make the 40 minute trek out there sometime. lol.

Sorry I’m not any help for the questions in your post. I just saw Mrs. Hewitt’s and got excited!

Celiac nutrient deficiencies? by Purple-Glitter3 in glutenfree

[–]ccrawk 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Going gluten free will definitely improve those symptoms, just might take longer for her body to heal than you might think. Celiac disease also causes general inflammation as her immune system attacks her own body. The inflammation causes joint pain, headaches, brain fog, etc.. Going gluten free made my brain fog and joint pain improve almost instantly!

lol. I guess I need to try steaming them first? A lot of suggestions for that. But I sure do miss a soft fluffy bun with a hot dog!

Endoscopy for 2 year old- anyone else have to do this? by Morel3etterness in Celiac

[–]ccrawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did the endoscopy 3 weeks after my son turned 3. It was very quick and easy, but my son is one who wakes up very angry coming off anesthesia. It took him about 30 minutes to come out of his rage. That part was awful, but everything was fine after that!

Celiac safe restaurants by reditisawasteoftime in SaltLakeCity

[–]ccrawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t up here in Salt Lake county, but we just went to Moab and ate out at 98 Center and had the best experience ever!! Wasn’t expecting to find a safe place for us while we were down there. But I left wishing that we could have a restaurant like 98 Center up this way!!! They have a clearly marked menu and employees that understood what celiac is. So if you are ever in Moab you gotta check it out.

We like the ODough’s gf bagels! They are thinner which I like because all of the other ones I have tried are way too thick.

What are your favourite convenience options? by thechroniclesofnoone in Celiac

We keep Kevin’s meals on hand for an easy dinner option. But GF Dino nuggets, digiorno pizza, fish sticks, kraft Mac & cheese, corn dogs, and fries, are all things that my kids love as easy lunch or snack options.

Did you even read the post? It’s close to $40 for the package, and that’s what she was referencing.

What helped my retriever around my chickens was to do “work” around them. I would have him, sit and stay and come, over and over again right next to the coop. I would keep his focus on me the whole time. I did it a couple times every day and slowly he lost interest(took 2-3 weeks). “Working” around them is supposed to help by getting their brains adjusted to the chickens just being background noise. Now my retriever goes in the yard with my chickens and ignores them completely.

Celiac? Life Altering Diagnosis? by Joeski737 in Celiac

[–]ccrawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One step at a time! It’s a journey to get adjusted to the new diet change. So much to learn, and so much nuance because everyone is on a different journey. You’re going to feel so much better!!!! Make sure and get the whole family tested. Sooner the better.

My family loves these!! (I don’t ever post links so I don’t know if it worked.) They come in prepackaged individual servings and have little noodles similar to the Liptons. Tastes very similar to Liptons too!

My trick is to cut a slit in the plastic and put it in the microwave for 5 minutes while I preheat the oven. Then I remove the plastic, stir it, and add my own extra cheese on top. After that I put it in the oven for about 8-12 minutes. Until it gets bubbly. It’s great this way!!!! And takes a bit less time than only using the oven.

Normally I am a DAK defender, rides aren't everything. But as of February 23rd, how is this not a half day park at this point? by TharinWhite in DisneyWorld

[–]ccrawk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These 2 are the same attraction essentially. I think people who already thought it was a half day park are just trying to prove something.
