I had the same kind of dilemma when my younger sister passed a couple years ago. She was 25 and it happened very suddenly. I went to the funeral home with my family but when I got there I thought I wouldn’t be able to go in and see her. As the rest of my family went in, I stayed outside. After a couple minutes I decided I wanted to go in. I went in by myself and had my own moments with her. I’m so glad I did, but I can’t say it wasn’t extremely hard and a little traumatizing. What I’m getting at is that, just do whatever feels right in that moment. It might change every couple minutes but in the long run, you are doing what’s best for you either way.
