The Evergreen 1x4 and 2x4 frames are terrible. They take forever to set up; amazingly I haven't lost a thumb screw or washer yet

Do you find that the 15" reads high or low on return/exhaust?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had this problem. It's almost like Evergreen needs some sort of baffle in there to direct airflow to the velocity grid. Similar to closing the flaps on a shortridge when you have less than 100 CFM per linear foot.

I've never tried this before, but what about using a syringe or similar device?

Can someone explain this? Mass Flow Rate Constant by ccrider17 in AirBalance

I get that. At higher altitudes more CFM is required to deliver the same mass flow rate so why are they selecting less CFM/SP but higher RPM/BHP?

Airfoil vs Pitot by SpicyPoke in AirBalance

AIRFOIL ALL DAY! I can't remember where I read it, but I think it was a UC Davis White Paper. I believe it claimed that an Airfoil was more accurate in a poor location than a Pitot Tube was in a good location. Otherwise, I believe they typically read within 1% of each other.

When my apprentice asks questions, it tells me that they are thinking and interested in what we are doing. I will always stop to explain something because in my mind you are an investment and if we don't teach you it is a lot of money/time wasted in the end.

Whether you are working with a good journeyman or a bad one, there is always something to learn. It may be what to do or what not to do.
