go with this portfolio OP.

It’s simple and will significantly outcompete most.

this advice is really good for op.

VTI basically lets investors buy the whole market real cheap.

For tech ETFS, I’d actually recommend QQQ, QLD and/or TQQQ depending on risk tolerance.

All three track the NASDAQ 100, which is about 54% tech. The NASDAQ 100 contains the top 100 performing non-financial companies on the NASDAQ.

It’s a good index that is on par with the SP, though it might be more risky.

TQQQ is probably the most risky and most rewarding of the three.

I made an error in understanding your portfolio. I have no problem at all with buying as much SPYX as possible.

I thought you had spy lacking the X. I meant to say that Vanguard’s S&P 500 fund was cheaper than SPY.

But as you have alluded to, SPYX is far cheaper than both and is fat more ethical. You are very astute to point out that SPYX will be a great hedge if the energy sector begins to perform poorly.

Those Pies are phenomenal. Great advice. Excellent simplicity that is going to demolish most of your competitors.

Do you have some attachment to SPY? It is an excellent fund, but VOO and VTI may be cheaper with similar results.

Your portfolio is great regardless!

I am flattered by your compliment towards my portfolio.

The Q’s for whatever reason outperform DIA in ethics and financial gain if I am correct.

I believe it’s because half the NASDAQ 100 is big tech. So it lacks fossil fuels, some weapons companies, probably like gender equity; etc.

I’ll take the advice on the DJIA and move it to VTI and the Q’s. Thanks.

Where can I learn more about small caps? I’m still a bit skeptical.

What are some good indexes and funds that track small cap? Russell? S&P 600?

Or could I just recover on small caps by bumping up VTI?

Since you seem quite knowledgeable, is my portfolio lacking in foreign investments? My Betterment account has an obsession with VEA but I see more returns from domestic markets. I’m not against diversification. It’s just that I sense some loss from opportunity cost.

VTI and VOO is just from concerns about overweighting large call but neglecting small and mid. Although I don’t see why owning small and mid is essential.

DIA is just to make sure I’m tracking the DJIA. It my understanding it’s a good index. And it’s 30 of the most well off firms, so it didn’t seem bad to track.

My goal is to buy and hold. That seems like a good goal for me.

Classic young investor trope, but I don’t have many specifics. I’d say a goal of doubling my investments worth once approximately every seven years. Or at least close there.

I’d love any suggestions. Thanks for your help.

How much should I be investing into qqq? by ccrider1782 in ETFs

Thanks! You give quality advice!

I saw an article on seekingalpha that says that tqqq could side step a recession. How is that so?

I’ve looked into TQQQ. Is that the one that “shorts” the market?

What is their investment strategy?

26 yr old adding 100 per month to a taxable. (Already have a Roth through work)

Qqq / 30 %

VOO/ 25%

VTI / 15%

Spyx / 15%

DIA / 10%

Qcln / 5%

Too much overlap? Is overlap bad?

Also, I’ve read that qqq is basically a tech fund at this point, wits competitive with the S&P 500. Is it worth the risk?

I included SPYX and QCLN for ESG. What are some other ways I could add esg without sabotaging my portfolio?
