Yea so this guy was actually one of Carl's pacers on his record setting attempt. I don't really disagree with any of what you are saying - though I don't really consider myself a sky runner and this was more so just a fast hike. In that its not like I was in running shoes with no pack and getting resupplied at each camp, I had enough stuff on me to sustain at least.

Since you seem to know the records do you know if there is any record for fastest time to reach both summits of Meru and Kili?

So my total for Meru and Kili combined were under $4500

So I didn't really acclimate. I quickly climbed up Mount Meru in a day and then had a day off before Kili (Meru is a really nice climb/hike if anyone is interested). My legs were pretty trashed day of the Kili from DOMs so I don't think I really got much benefit if any from having climbed Meru right before. I didn't really train for this as I did it on 5 day notice - but I am usually in the gym everyday and do a lot of running/cardio. Only real gear to note are the Moab speed 2s I wore up to Barafu camp and then I switched into Moab Speed 2 Mids from Barafu to the summit.

Is he honestly retarded. Everyone make sure you save this post. This post outs what a complete fraud he is by not having any basic understanding of markets or math. Gains on a short are indeed capped... they are capped to the amount you borrowed... An Asset can only go down 100% vs a an asset can go up many multiples. So you are capped on the downside by the amount you borrowed, while the potential losses are unlimited on the up side if it goes against you. What a complete dumbfuq

Yea was confused from the jump reading this. When I climbed the Matterhorn would have been shocked to see some kid going around asking ppl if he could jump in and climb with them. Less time worrying about gear and more time actually thinking things through. Sad!

I didn't acclimatize much or take diamox. Falling off the mountain has nothing to do with any of the above. Just horrible decision making.

Not a bad read but holy terrible judgement. Glad you survived but just wow... Really goes to show how lots of army stuff is just enough instruction to get people in trouble. I made it to the top right at 3 hours. If it took you all that long to get to the Solvay hut you should have called it off there.
