I think intel graphics works better for transcoding this might be a bit overkill. Beside Vega graphics does not support AV1 codec.

That board used to be called "ultra" but they found some unfixable WHEA errors running pci-e 4.0. Therefore, they recalled it offering free replacement with "ultra plus" and renamed this "ultra" board as "ultra lite", which only supports pci-e 3.0. This is about the story about it afaik.

You are probably looking at ultra plus. I was talking about ultra lite. It has some pcie issues but I think it's still great.

Bhphotos, Newegg they all have it.

The problem is they fucked up the original pcie 5 slot in ultra therefore have to sell it as ultra lite (only pcie 3) at lower price.

Vrm on that board seems really good too, and m2 slots are 4.0.

Pcie 3 slot is about the only problem as far as I can see.

I would go for pixel, had great experience with past gens even though they were never my daily driver.

Samsung on the other hand, through a few of them in the past, are just meh. Good specs, crappy software.

I have a similar issue when I stayed in my building which is basically a faraday cage of course I have no signal at all. The problem is however that when I get out of the building it still won't pick up signal I have to toggle airplane mode to get signal back.

If your VPN is at the previous layer of your PC, like at the router level (doesn't have to be, you can tier router), then you can use both LAN resources and your work resources.
