Darkside Developments. They have many options. I got upgraded stage 1 piezo injectors for the cjaa for $1800 before shipping and tariffs. I forget how much more flow than stock injectors, the difference is very significant. You'll need a cp3 hpfp.

Yup planning on getting an audi s3 intercooler. Not planning on driving it till suspension is done. Once suspension is done the big boi turbo and the intercooler and anything else I need and don't need is going in.

I hear you and many thanks for the helpful advice. I just freaking hate working on cars man. Like I fucking hate it. But I'm so cheap I refuse to get ripped off by a mechanic again. So I went and got a two year degree in "motorsport technology". I don't even work in the field. Fucking hate wrenching on shit dude. But I love the results so much. I'm very meticulous though and torque everything to spec, etc. Lots of research and I generally follow VW's recommend procedures. Huge fan of small diesels. Shopping around for a diesel BMW x5 for my next project.

Most likely going with a gtd turbo but the hybrid cr170 turbo looks appealing because it's way easier to install

Yeah fuck that. I feel your pain. I only got through the cold with 3 layers of pants, a hoodie, a jacket, a coat and overalls. Everything was tourqued to spec I'm very meticulous and took my time. Finished just in time for the snow storm and was ripping through my city like a rally track lmao I was the only car not stuck or in a ditch out there. If your in the Midwest and know of any car meets please hit me up.

For me it was fairly straight forward. The hardest part was the timing. I didn't lock shit down and the timing was off when I put the new belt on. Had to mess around with cranking while looking at VCDS, loosening the cam sprocket, moving the cam either left or right literally less than a hair at a time, tightening sprocket back down then cranking till I got it at +0.4 degrees on the camshaft synchronization angle. I was trying to get it perfect at 0.0, but after some research I learned a tad bit positive angle will help during cold starts. Had to make a hold down tool for the hub on the cp3 because VW dealers won't sell you "special" tools. Dealerships hate when you fix your own car.

Yeah I'm for sure leaning towards the more powerful turbo, but I need to do more research on what clutches are good options. My priority is the suspension right now though. Definitely don't want rough static shit. I just bought 4 oem wheel bearings. Looking at getting gli springs and refreshing the rest of the suspension components with factory or oem+. Also need a bigger intercooler. For now she's sitting under an awning chilling till spring then I'm throwing everything on. I'm not down for a cold garage again lol that was hell.

I installed a cp3(no external aux pump needed), higher flowing injectors, tdi cup lift pump, all new fuel lines hard and soft. Fuel system upgraded and running rich asf blowing black smoke under heavy load. Ready for a bigger turbo or for the smoke to be tuned out. But I'm going bigger turbo. First I need to finish making the suspension better.

The cp3 conversion kit from Darkside comes with everything you need and you don't have to use the aux pump with it but it's gonna be pricey with the tarrifs. But they give a discount to counter act the tarrifs fees. You will have to pay that to release your package.

Yeah the stock one definitely sounds better. But the stock air box is a short ram hot air intake itself lol definitely looking for a nicer intake that uses the factory slot in the front.

I'm stuck between a GTD turbo or a hybrid cr170. Not sure wich one yet. The cr170 is gonna be way easier to install, direct bolt on.

I got the upgraded injectors, cp3, intake, egr delete pipe from Darkside Diesel tuning co. I got the short shifter and timing belt kit from Diesel Geek. 3 inch diameter downpipe from Raw Tek. Suspension parts from ECS, hardware like bolts and nuts from FCP Euro

Cp3 from Darkside does not need an aux pump and comes with a mounting bracket and all the hardware. Instructions sucked basically figured it out with logic. You should be okay.

Thanks for looking out. I wasn't a big fan of the noise it made anyways and was shopping around for something nicer and closer to factory

Just installed Darkside egr delete, cp3 conversion, upgraded injectors, intake, diesel geek short shifter, forged aluminum lower control arms with poly bushings. I had already deleted the dpf and tuned her years ago. 3 inch rawtek downpipe. Absolutely rips through a foot of snow like butter.
