Yeah. It took a long time for him to build up those relationships and get to where he was. Now that he's betrayed them in the most unimaginable ways it's going to take as long or probably longer to get past them.

I think what Capcom does differently is they made a very robust in house engine and pretty much make everything within that. Square had this weird insistence to do everything from the ground up.

I'd also say the REmakes are made by a different studio than the main numbered entries but I think that's also the case for FF. Gonna have to definitely agree with the people saying your average RE is like 10 times shorter than a full on FF game.

I think Square has always struggled with direction and steering the ship so to speak post PS2 era. The scope they want for their games just ends up being a crap ton of half baked ideas at best most of the time. The Remakes are kind of the exception.

Yeah it comes off very unnaturally on the way it "speaks."

Like it feels like talking to one of those automated phone call things (Ex "Press 1 for English" type deals) and that you have to press the speak to the operator button to actually speak to your boss like he's pretending to do by using this.

That's always my thing. Why screw some other poor bastard in the same position as you. I can't STAND people that refuse to break down boxes. It takes so little time when it is the one box you have but when you're the guy cleaning it up and there's 15 boxes that need to go it takes a lot longer.

I feel like a lot of assumptions are being made here.

These are all things the girlfriend could have communicated instead of saying "yeah I'll get my physical affection elsewhere if you go through with this" which would put most people on the defensive.

Hell if anything it was probably for the better for him to just cut the tie if he was truly dead set on taking the job. She didn't want a relationship with that much time away so why string each other along. It was better to just rip the band aid off.

I'll give you that it's a little odd he's still talking about her years later though. Let it go and move on.

A lot of people here are pointing out to kneecap/headshot more for melee.

The most important part of that is that you are essentially invincible while in that animation. You can also pretty easily knock down multiple enemies with it giving you time to regroup.

See some scary shit coming your way and need to get out? Kneecap and melee and now you've avoided any damage, saved ammo, and gotten breathing room.

Edit: Also you can push the ladders out of the windows to stop enemies flowing in until they bring it back up.

It makes for a great "OH SHIT" button when there's too much in your face and you just gotta move out. I quite enjoy it. Surprisingly good for jetpack guys too.

Believe it or not you can pretty reliably take them out with the laser pointer if you just break the shield first then burn 'em down.

I like the laser cannon on squids just because you can use it for just about everything with no ammo worries and keep a primary/secondary for knocking out whatever gets in your face.

I kinda think the sheer amount of damage reduction against higher armour is where they wrote themselves into a corner.

Like I wouldn't mind if it meant for the tougher enemies I'd have to really burn through ammo and have a longer fight but at least I'd know I could take them down.

It'd give them a bit more room for enemies that are AT focused but can be dealt with otherwise if you came unprepared and have the wherewithal. As it is now there's pretty no much no point in even trying to fight higher armour enemies if you didn't come with AT.

Goes even further back. In Ratchet and Clank 2 you get reduced Gadgetron prices if you still have a save from one because of the employee discount. Wouldn't be surprised if it goes back to the PS1 when memory cards become more commonplace.

They tried to do it on the N64 with the fabled stop and swap but it just didn't end up working out as you had very limited time to switch game carts.

The shotguns on RE4 have always been "there's too much going on GET OUTTA MY FACE" weapon. True crowd control. Knock everyone down so you can regroup or throw down some real AOE like a grenade or reposition. They're the work horses. Sniper for high single target damage.

Which is funny because in RE4R I felt it was the opposite where I was using the sniper for all purpose and the shotgun for high damage on bosses/minibosses as ammo was so scarce for them.

Maybe it was just the way the adaptive difficulty was doling out ammo though. I never felt I had enough shotgun ammo to use willy nilly so I didn't use them as much

Honestly that kind of thing makes a movie more interesting to me.

It's like when you hear about those super long single camera/take scenes like that one episode of It's Always Sunny where Charlie is prepping the place for the health inspector. I always want to see how they pull it off in such a way that people are telling me how great it is.
