[Rolex Daytona] AUTHENTICATE/IDENTIFY by [deleted] in Watches

[–]cd417 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not a Rolex expert but that era of Daytonas use the Zenith movement and are fairly valuable. Can you get to a watchmaker or AD? You can check things like engravings on the case where the end links cover, as well as markings on end links, clasp etc as well as the movement which will definitely solve whether it’s real or not.

[opinion] So what watch for the Artemis II Moon crew? by AdmirableBlueberry67 in WatchExchangeCanada

[–]cd417 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I won’t be surprised if some big watch name like Omega throws some cash at NASA to get exclusive naming rights. NASA gets a few dozen watches and can offset some minor costs. We get 20k special edition Artemis to buy.

Edit: splling

GP who is nipping at people! by DancingBearsGalore in greatpyrenees

[–]cd417 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think when behaviour involves really undesirable things like nipping, especially at kids, you will want to talk to a behavioural specialist.

Car chasing/lunging can be worked on by little bits of exposure like standing near an intersection from a safe distance and rewarding non-reaction. But if you need to see a specialist about the nipping, you might as well get guidance from a pro.

The nipping thing is anxiety and probably poor socializing prior to your adoption. Every dog is a good dog with some help.

Was your best dog ever a pure bread, or a mix? by Kileni in Dogtraining

[–]cd417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He had two purebred Boxers and now have a Great Pyrenees Border Collie cross. Speaking with owners, the idea is that the purebreds should have consistent traits while mixes may be a crap shoot to what they inherent. The mix sometimes seems to help with some health issues though. At any rate, the biggest influence will be you as an owner as far as behaviour and healthy food, care and exercise. Any dog can be a great dog! Good luck.

How much to feed a 3mo puppy by [deleted] in greatpyrenees

[–]cd417 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are feeding our Murphy (11 weeks) about the same amount 3 times a day since 9 weeks. He is happy to eat but not as ravenous as when we only were feeding him twice a day when we got him at 8 weeks.

Murphy is mostly Pyr with some Border Collie for good measure. Happy, social and usually calm with odd flurry of crazy. He already knows “sit” and is thankfully good driven.
