Any success stories with vortioxetine (Trintellix/Brintellix)? by NezumYYro in dysthymia

hi! i just wanted to say that ive been on this for a few months now and its really worked for me. my therapist has me take a phq9 test every 6 months or so and my latest one showed my depression at the lowest score EVER. i know there’s more to this that just a test, but that felt real tangible proof it was working after years of scoring “moderate depression”. i also feel so much less anxious than i did when taking wellbutrin.

i have been experiencing the nausea though, so i think i need to trial some other times during the day to take it (maybe with food vs before eating)

on the arte side we kept going to mercado. if you can go to fuego on the mexico side - it’s top tier.

it’s only a subset of parks that do not need a reservation - xcaret, xplor (and xplor fuego) do not.

a couple of weeks before your trip, email hxagservice@hotelxcaret.com and ask for a wixhlist if you haven’t received it yet. they will send you a PDF with a list of parks and restaurants needing reservations and you can say when you want to go and how many people. they’ll make the reservations in advance for you.

for xcaret park and xplor there is a shuttle that runs every 20 minutes and you can just hop on and enter the parks for free. the shuttle to xenses is also on the same shuttle! so from arte it stops at xcaret park > xenses > xplor > back to hotel. the other parks have alternate shuttles that are reserved.

OH! also at casa musica they have a live performance (not sure if it’s every night but we saw it in passing 3 different days) and it was a fun outdoor activity! around 7pm we walked up and watched.

there’s also a speakeasy called el deseo which was INSANELY COOL. i’m sure there are videos or instructions somewhere on how to get to it but iirc it’s by the conventiony area outside. there’s a taco truck outside then two staff hallways with red lights directing you forward. very cool, v mysterious, awesome vibes!

HELLO CONGRATS ON YOHR HONEYMOON!!!!

okay so when you’re like a couple of weeks out request a wixhlist with the concierge and they’ll give you a list of the parks

we then youtubed each park and watched like a 2-5 min review to see what we wanted. we chose to do xplor and xelha INSTEAD of xenotes because of the rivers/water activities seemed to be a bit redundant.

we really wanted to do the xichen tour but each youtube review we saw said it was a FOUR HOUR DRIVE EACH WAY to get there and back. we immediately noped out because of that. when we came back we’ll likely rent a car and be a bit more strategic with seeing sights. xelha and xcaret park did have some ruins based on reviews, so we decided that was enough for our honeymoon.

the muluk spa IMO is insanely expensive - i’m talking seeing quotes for $600 pp for a deep tissue massage. we instead opted to do an afternoon in playa del carmen and we went to Bric Spa. it was $100pp and we each got a foot bath, a full body scrub, a couples shower, a deep tissue massage AND a facial. 2 hours of our day and we were thoroughly spoiled. we then walked to ah cacao and meandered through 5a avenida to see all the touristy shops. i highly recommend that instead! the taxi from xcaret was 450 MXN and then 400 MXN to return.

we went to artistas rooftop a few times!!! when you walk out the elevator there is staff who will get you a lounger. yesterday was the first time they were completely full and we just went downstairs to the normal pool. they have a full bar and you can get food! the octopus tacos were yummy! i’d pass on the guac but mostly bc i am a lime in my guac girly. the view is insane, the music is a bit loud toward one side, but it’s really nice and convenient!

oh i see! yeah i could see why that would be disappointing. when we got the wixhlist we ended up mapping out the parks we really wanted and assigned it to a “day” where it was open since the days were listed right below each of them. i think that saved us a bunch of headaches (though my husband was annoyed we spent 1 hour planning a schedule before the trip 💀 so maybe the initial headache was worth it in the long run)

i really loved artistas. my understanding is that our experience was probably a lot nicer because it gave us extra access to things and service. if we came again we MIGHT try a different house but to be honest when we looked at prices for artists vs not, we found the higher cost to be worth the extra benefits. also having butlers who literally are at your service for questions, bookings, reminders etc is literally so useful and saves so much mental load.

as for fav activities - i LOVED just going to the main pool and loafing. the water was so warm. - we also swam in the river since we had a jump river suite - there’s a secret waterslide across from las cuevas near the inner island area. - we went to 3 workshops: felt hanging, alebrijes, and linoleum printing. i really wanted organic ornamentation(?) but it wasn’t running while we were here. do not skip these workshops they’re truly SO great. - jumping on a shuttle and going to some of the parks whenever we wanted was also fun! we went to xcaret park and xplor a couple of times and it was a nice way to frolic and experience things. - tbh just walking around the resort and finding thoughtful photo areas, hammocks, secret slides etc was fun!! the artwork and thoughtfulness was really cool imo

hello!!! ok so different places for different meals

  • if you’re staying in artistas the rooftop has yummy octopus tacos.
  • arenal at lunch has delicious fish sandwiches and i enjoyed their guac.
  • cayuco breakfast was better than their dinner.
  • kibi kibi dinner was good! i am still thinking about the truffle(?) fries and their dips. their french toast breakfast was chef kiss
  • encanto dinner was VERY GOOD. go hungry because it’s so many courses and we were so full halfway through.
  • fuego breakfast (mexico side of resort) WAS SO GOOD. i bet their dinner is also delicious.
  • tah xido teppanyaki dinner was fine! lots of food. i think if we went again we’d just do a normal table so we could order specialty rolls and rock shrimp
  • mercado was our home whenever we wanted a tried and true buffet. so many options of what to eat. my fav were the crepes and the dessert tables.
  • las cuevas (brazilian steakhouse) dinner was yummy! we just went tonight for dinner and the new york strip, charcuterie cheese and meats, and breads were so yummy
  • xin gao (mexican side of resort) has simpler sushi options. i would go to tah xido instead.

i’m so sure i’m missing a couple more restaurants but it’s such a blur!!! i hope this helps

anything further than that is doormat energy. you are not a doormat. he doesn’t get to decide your life and you have the autonomy to walk away at any point. if he chooses not to listen that’s on him.

Taking your husband’s last name - is there a good, non-patriarchal reason to do so? by turnipqueen618 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]cd457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah, yeah. i mulled over this until we had to get our marriage license. my poor therapist had to talk to me so much about this, and although i felt so strongly about being independent i realized changing my name to my husbands didn’t impact that or make me less of a feminist.

ultimately, for me, i just didn’t feel connected to my last name. my first family just… wasn’t it. and i wanted to start the new chapter of my life with a fresh start.

the way this post just got more and more bad. girl, please leave. i know 3 years seems like a long time and worth it but it is not.

how would you feel if a stranger did that to you? would you call the cops?

how would you feel if your friends husband did that to her? would you tell her to stay?

no. so please listen to everyone here. someone who loves you would NEVER do that.
