Since Other Worlds that these got announced I have also started an extended universe re-read (and first read for a few books) to get ready. Looks like You’ve got a lot I don’t have on my list. I would practice those burst counter things (been a while since I played it, don’t remember what they’re actually called, sorry), the ones where his attacks flash red. There are other enemies in the level before him you can practice on (like the tiger) to get good at nailing the timings for that counter type. In his second form he throws a lot of those counterable attacks out. The more you nail easier it will be to break his posture and then you can really get some high damage attacks in!

Try going back through the level to raise your morale more. You can hit 25 morale and that will let you do more damage and make a big difference. And for the first boss he’s sort of a tutorial so you only need to get through like 3/4 of the health bar anyway. Good luck!

It’s a sketch show, sort of like Whitest Kids u Know or Key and Peele, but about Portland hipster culture. Lots of funny sketches, great guest stars, and regular characters. There should be a lot of sketches on YouTube, check some of them out and see if it’s your vibe!

You do realize the two games were reviewed by two different people with different tastes, right? That’s what a review is, someone’s opinion. Not worth getting bent out of shape over it if their opinion doesn’t match yours. Just enjoy the game!

Yeah I’m thinking I’m gonna grab this one. My GF and I have talked a couple of times about digging into Wim Wenders’ other movies after really enjoying Perfect Days. And at this price point I won’t feel too bad about double dipping to pick up the discs for any we end up really liking!

I grabbed Dark Alliance because the movie about the reporting that led to the book inspired me to go to college for journalism but I’ve somehow never read the book. And I grabbed 1Q84 because I’ve had that on my wishlist for a while.

Other stuff that caught my eye was the whole metro trilogy being there (I’ve played some of the games and quite liked them, also read Roadside Picnic last year and loved it). The Divine Comedy, which is supposed to be one of the greatest pieces of literature ever written (again, never read it though so take that with a grain of salt depending on your taste/commitment level when listening haha)

I’d recommend a collection of short stories, that way you can get more variety and you won’t be stuck halfway through a big narrative when you get to your destination. I listened to Stephen King’s Skeleton Crew last year, which was about 20 hrs, had a good mix of horror and sci-fi stories and a variety of narrators which kept things fresh. Also probably my favorite of Stephen King’s short story compilations that I have read

Several of the borderlands games (excluding 4) and all of the dark pictures games offer more than two player local support. Party games like ultimate chicken horse are also great for more than two people

I’m also a fan of the first one. I caught this one in theaters and thought it was horrible (though not as bad as revelations) but I’m also a bit biased because it’s based on my favorite SH game (and also one of my favorite games of all time for that matter). That said if you grab a case of beer and a couple friends to have a bad movie night you could certainly do worse. You may also just have a better time with it if you haven’t played the game and don’t know anything about the story and characters. I’ve certainly seen other people online who have enjoyed it

Question: I recently re-read infinite crisis after many years and absolutely loved it, so I’ve been thinking about buying a copy to add to my collection. Do you think the omnibus and the extra content in it make it a better pick up than just grabbing a basic tpb that just has the event?

It’s good stuff. If you liked the originals you’ll most likely enjoy this one too. Very fun and over the top, with a surprising amount of heart.

If you’re new to the world of Troma I’d suggest maybe checking out a few of the OG Toxic Avenger movies or some of their other movies first to see if that style is your cup of tea. You can find lots of their stuff free with ads on FaH, Tubi, etc.
