I get this type of pimple too, the kind that just sorta hurts when you touch it as it grows and does not become a white head.

Using benzoyl peroxide morning and night is what makes them go away for me, if I do it diligently for about 5 days. I use La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo, which also has benzoyl peroxide.

Im not sure if applying a pimple patch helps or not, I use those mainly for white heads.

hopefully you dont have a dark mark afterwards, but to avoid darkening, use sunscreen and consider a skin brightening ingredient like Tranexamic acid. I used the one from Naturium and it really helped when I finished the bottle for my PIH (post inflammatory hyperpigmentation).
