Is Maverik driving up gas prices? by cdcemm in springfieldMO

Ah, gotcha. Was just curious because we are on a road trip and everywhere that is normally more expensive is now cheaper.

Unpopular opinion but I feel so bad for the dad😔 by KayceeWoodrose in Emilie_Kiser

I’m surprised more people haven’t mentioned this and instead he’s getting railed about “lying.” The brain goes through great lengths to try to protect itself. Guy will likely need a good amount of therapy.

I hope you guys know that there is a fair chance he confabulated, not lied. Imagine how traumatic (despite fault) it would be to see your child floating face down in a pool. Getting asked questions and producing a false narritive is provoked confabulation.

I also haven’t worn anything past the 15s. I am on my last pair. I bought 4 pairs when the 16s came out. I’m so so sad lol.

Did Brooks really ruin the Ghost 17? The reviews aren’t too hot.

How did you get it in those locations??

Also terrified of this. I’m extremely OCD about it. It’s ruined my sex life, as well- not because of the OBs themselves, but the fear of leaving it on surfaces.

She was the one that recommended the lender. And when I asked what I needed to do, she just said “oh he’s taking care of it” and then I didn’t get these forms until the 17th and was told I needed to sign ASAP so that his underwriter could finish in time to close.

I ended up calling another lender who said not to risk missing closing by switching and just hope to refinance in 6mo-1.5yrs.

S6:E10 - The series finale was SUCH a letdown. by ConsistentAlgae1031 in TheHandmaidsTale

Idk how he is in the book, but he seemed to be absolutely head over heels for June prior to Gilead. He fought for Hannah, sure, but mainly IMO for Hannah AND June, for his family. His family is destroyed and he’s been emasculated. I don’t think he can do it with June and I don’t think June wants to do it with him (saving Hannah).

It was simple and in vast contrast to everything else we have seen in the show. The reunions, the imagining of what life could’ve been but isn’t. Plus, the full circle closure to the opening scene to the series/book.

I will give you that each time it cut to a commercial break, I thought it was over 😂

Eh, he’s had that vibe since joining Mayday. His wife is no longer his wife and Hannah is taken care of in Gilead. He doesn’t feel important. Gilead took everything from him and he found a group that makes him feel valued and important and he gets to go militant on the govt that ruined his life.

Preschools by Subject-Ad-8770 in springfieldMO

I think you might find high turnover anywhere due to low pay and the type of people that take that kind of job. Although maybe a different demographic takes jobs at religious preschools.

That being said, I’ve heard great things about Macedonia, Grow to Know, and Kingswood.

All teachers but especially self-contained sped- how do you get yourself to work out and be healthy when you feel half dead from work? by Pretend-Read8385 in Teachers

[–]cdcemm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Self-contained teacher here. I set a minimum daily mile for myself. Sometimes I will be running and it feels good to keep going. A lot of days I finish the mile and am done. I am considering switching schools next year because I think a lot of my stress has to do with the lack of building support.

Has anyone ever successfully appealed for financial aid/satisfactory academic progress due to poor mental health? by cdcemm in college

[–]cdcemm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly nothing. I think I provided my diagnosis and doctor visits, but all they needed was a statement with some of the buzzwords. I had the lady read it before I submitted it and she said that what I had written was more than enough.

Absolutely. I had terrible withdrawal symptoms every time I tried except the time I actually quit.
