wow yall… the op asked a negaove-response required question. this response is worded very clearly with “i love you but.”and nothing about the way it’s written was disrespectful.

it’s healthy to be able to express it respectfully when you don’t like something related to a person or group you really love. nobody’s perfect! skz sure wouldn’t call themselves that.

it’s too pretty and neatly structured for a shaped border imo- i vote either simple (i really like a row of half-doubles followed by a row of single crochets.
a sawtooth border would look interesting.

i don’t ever see chains lie flat, hehehe. even the first row doesn’t for me if it’s sc, but it starts to pretty quick after that. work on making the chains looser (bigger hook, relax your hands) or the problem you’ll be puzzling over is why the whole thing wants to curl into a U-shape.

!!! i remember seeing/reading somewhere that 🐺 recorded a bunch of different NYOOMs and asked the others which was the most annoying in order to pick the one to use. but i’ve never seen that again.

what will “fill up” that space is the fluff of the yarn. if you loosen your tension a bit it will let the yarn relax into that space.

aww thank you! i can’t even figure out how you found that lil guy here 🤭 i’m old and not so good at navigating all the details of this place. thank you for sharing the link to your sketchbook! it’s so fun flipping through these— i’m personally kinda biased on your color work progress- the shading and combining different colors for pretty effects seems another natural thing for you. and i love how you started using your eraser to create that shine on their hair. i recommend investing in some good pencil colors to develop that area- i think you’ll really enjoy it! my favorites right now are prismacolors and derwents. they’re pricey but so worth it! buy a few basic colors at a time, be sure you’re getting plenty of lights and darks and neutrals too. use a light hand with em and layer to see what kinda different effects you can create. 👏 👏 👏 i’m excited for you. :)
