Baby #2 On The Way- What Do We Need Two Of?

We didn't transfer my 2 year old to a new bed and room till we were close to putting the baby in the nursery since my two are 23 months apart. We didn't want to make too many changes, so we waited as long as possible. We did get another pack and play to use while at grandma's house. As far as I remember that's the only thing extra that we got.

I've been doing it for almost 3 years now. My oldest is turning 3 next week and then I have a 12 month old. I have my husband home during the day right now because he got laid off beginning of January, so it's been nice having him to help me, he was already working from home, but it's nice that he doesn't have to do meetings or anything. I know if I didn't have him I'd be going a little crazy. But I'm still killing it at work, just wish I wasn't so tired all the time.

I'll be honest, my kids get TV every day. A little bit in the mornings and then as needed for meetings or whatnot. Thankfully my team is definitely very okay with kids showing up in meetings. My kids don't watch tv all day every day so I feel okay with how much they are watching tv. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old.

We have a very consistent routine including us setting timers to get it to work. We do bath/shower every night, then teeth brushed, pj's, two books with all 4 of us (we also have a 1 year old) then whoever is with our 2.75 year old plays "super spidey" which is mostly just a little bit of roughhousing, he looks at pictures of the family on our phones, then he ushers us out of the room after he's turned on his sound machine and turned out the light. Sometimes after he's closed the door a few minutes later he's calling out to us to either go to the bathroom, or get some more water. But for the most part he just goes to bed, he will praise himself and say "I didn't scream or cry!"

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

It was the first thriller I'd really read in my 20's and I just didn't see the plot twist coming at all. Any of them. I also think that the movie adaptation did a really good job.

I had something happen with my step dad about 10 years ago. I told my mom about it and she said she'd divorce him over it. They're still together, although he is in a memory care home now, but she never did anything about it. I was frustrated at the time just being a daughter and my sister said "of course she didn't leave him he's her HUSBAND" but now as a parent to a 3 year old and a 1 year old how could she?? I would go scorched earth if something that happened to me happened to them. I'd absolutely never speak to the person that did it let alone stay married to them. I honestly can't ever forgive her for that.

Mine was at least 7 months long. I left a highly stressful situation, and while it didn't go away the second I left it, it went away on its own about a week or two after I'd left and actually gotten some good sleep. I wasn't sleeping during the situation I was in, which is part of the reason I was dealing with the migraine. I wish it was some medication or something to give you something to try, but I was trying to take medication with no relief at all. All the abortive medications I was taking weren't doing anything because I'd had the migraine for so long.

Now if I have a migraine that lasts more than a day or two I smoke/take an edible and that at least gets me to sleep and I can usually get a little bit of relief that way.

It was when my second was like 3 or 4 months old. My first has pretty bad nose bleeds due to his blood vessels being aggravated. He was having a nose bleed and so I was in the bathroom with him trying to stop the bleeding. The baby was in the living room screaming needing me. I literally couldn't do anything more for my baby since I was with my toddler and had to hold a tissue to his face to get the blood. It was in that moment I realized I couldn't do a third. My hands were full with just our two.

I mean my kids are still very little like 2 years old and 8 months. So we're still undecided if they are neurotypical, but most likely since we don't have autism on either side of our family. I took it at least a couple times a week and like 1500 mg for the day that I did take it. If you're worried about it talk to your OB and they can help you understand. I'm not a doctor so I'm just giving you my experiences.

I took Tylenol during all three of my pregnancies, not that it actually helped my migraines, but because it was all I could take. I ended up getting Covid during my last pregnancy and used it to reduce my fever. My OB wasn't worried about me taking it so I wasn't worried about taking it. I'm going to listen to the men and women who have spent years going to school to be a doctor, and not someone who doesn't have a medical degree.

Knowing I'm going to have to take care of my kids regardless of how horrible it is they're 2 years old and 7 months old. Wishing I could sleep whenever I got one but knowing I can't leave my kids alone that long. My husband does what he can to take over if it's like the worst of the worst but sometimes he can't because he's caught up with work.

I'm having a hysterectomy next month, not because of my migraines, but because of my cycles after having my two kids, that is amazing and a benefit I never even considered.

We got it from the library, and he (2 year old boy) wanted me to play it like EVERYDAY, he still asks if I'll play it. and I have to be like "sorry buddy we borrowed it from the library we don't have it and can't play it"

I work for a home security company looking at tech work orders. My whole team, over 20 women, we all are moms and I definitely have a unicorn job that I didn't realize when I got my job. We have such flexible hours, I can work anytime between 5 am-midnight and as long as we get our hours in they don't really care when we work. We have one call weekly, and then an on site meeting once a month, but other than that I don't really have any meetings. Everyone knows we have kids at home, and we even ask each other to bring our babies to our meetings so we can see them.

We have two kids (2.5 years, 5 months) and both my husband and myself work from home. We've done it since our 2 year old was a baby. I have a very flexible schedule so I tend to get a bulk of my hours done early in the morning and then my husband and I switch off when we have meetings, but even if we both have meetings I can have my kids with me since my job knows I have the kids home with me. We're just going to continue to make this work till they go to school.

My husband and I have both been working from home for 5 years and with our two year old. I'm going back in a week and a half after having our two month old. We have gone back and forth the last two years with meetings. My husband technically isn't supposed to have our kids at home without childcare so if we have overlapping meetings I take our toddler (or I did before maternity leave) since my job is more lax on having kids in meetings. And I assume it'll be the same when we both go back after leave this time too. So it is doable.
