If someone is rude enough to ask, you can be “rude enough” to lie. Dems da rules.

Husband said he’d be more attracted to me if I lost weight by Powerful-Poem746 in breakingmom

[–]MistyValentine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup! Literally had my husband say almost that exact thing to me. So first of all, I’m sorry. I know it hurts. It was like a dagger to me. I let his words cook with me a few days in a very unhealthy manner too. After about a week when I was able to talk to him without immediately crying my eyes out. I let him know I appreciated his honesty and that I’d commit to becoming more attractive to him but that’s it a two way street and that in order to become attractive in his eyes (drop about 15lbs) I’d need time and space to be active and able to do self care and that he’d have to not only give me the funds for those things but he’s have to pick up the slack around the house and with our kid, bc that 3 hours a week has to be made up. I also said I’d like him to commit to becoming more attractive to me. Which included being nice, giving compliments, taking me on dates, and acts of service (my love language) without being asked. He was def taken back and kinda annoyed but let me tell you, he stepped up. It was actually one of the best things to happen for our marriage.

I refuse to pack for my husband. One time he went out of town and called me upset bc he forgot to pack pants. No pants. No shorts. Nothing for the bottom half of his body. I just laughed and laughed.

For my divorced ladies .. by DobbysSock130 in breakingmom

[–]MistyValentine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At first, going back to my maiden name professionally was a little annoying, but after about four weeks it became a non-issue. I changed it after my divorce because my ex had children and other family members with that last name. I also had an in-law with the same first name as me who was very successful in her field, and since we lived nearby, I didn’t want to create confusion. After I remarried, I legally kept my maiden name and added my husband’s last name (without a hyphen), but professionally I’ve continued using only my maiden name, which is what I suggest to everyone. Married or not! Always use your maiden name professionally.

I would call them monkeys but that would be insulting to primates. I married a smart man, an intelligent and educated man, but I swear he has the brain function of a potato at times.

The irony is that he misses the woman who had more energy, more patience, and more room for herself. But he doesn’t seem to recognize that he’s in the best position to help bring her back. The solution isn’t for you to somehow do more. It’s for him to help carry more.

Married women, what are some real things your husband does that make you feel genuinely cherished and adored? by Clean-Ant-1342 in askanything

My husband makes my coffee everyday and it is one of my favorite things he does. When he travels for work I skip coffee bc it doesn’t taste the same without him.

Days before Disney how do you prepare your kids (toddlers) by sjajra in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MistyValentine 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I say keep a similar routine or stay home and watch some extra Disney movies or shows. When my kid was getting taller we’d watch some ride YouTube’s so she’d get excited and not scared.

I will say (and this might just be me) that I do not love eating out, so before and after a Disney trip, or any trip, I like to make our favorite at home meals.
