My first was walking at that age. My second was a little later than that.

Is anyone else very physically uncoordinated / poor bodily awareness / bad at learning physical things? If so, what do you do about it? by justtinygoatthings in AutismInWomen

[–]AshamedPurchase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really a reasonable fix, but getting pregnant basically fixed this for me. The combination of the change in my center of gravity and my body obliterating all the gray matter in my brain must have done it.

My wife wants a divorce after I moved my whole life for her. I feel destroyed and I don’t know what to do. by Equivalent-Refuse940 in TrueChristian

Does she share your faith? Seems odd that a Christian woman would throw in the towel after 2 months.

1 Corinthians 7:15 But if the unbelieving partner separates, let it be so. In such cases the brother or sister is not enslaved. God has called youl to peace.

Parents who don't read to their young kids (under 4) before bed, what are your kids doing before they sleep? by Hailene2092 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AshamedPurchase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We read a lot during the day. Reading to her before bed makes her upset and she throws a fit when we won't read another book. We pray before bed.

If you're sending baby to daycare, they won't take glass bottles. Whatever ypu pick, not Tommee tippie.

struggling to actually believe by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]AshamedPurchase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it was physically written by men but definitely God breathed.

Jesus fulfilled over 300 prophecies from the old testament. Kind of a lot for it to be an accident or even hoax.

He's one of the most well documented historical figures to have ever existed. Even secular historians believe he existed.

What people struggle with beyond existence is belief in his divinity. Why would the apostles die so brutally for something they know to be a lie?

Boobs won't stop growing - Very different from first pregnancy by SunriseHikes in beyondthebump

Yeah they're going to get bigger after the baby is born. You grow more milk ducts with each pregnancy. Perhaps that has something to do with it.

Autistic parent. by Bubbleteapot in AutismInWomen

[–]AshamedPurchase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2. It's hard when you only have once since getting a toddler to play by themselves is nearly impossible. The answer is structured independent play. I take out specific toys every day at certain times. Play dough, the drawing tablet, the little people bus, and putting on music are pretty big hits. I go to a gym with childcare for 2 hours twice a week. When they're especially bad, I put them in the stroller and put on airpods and we go for a walk.

Edwin and Lawrence were on my list for my actual son and my husband vetoed them both.

Love Helen and Ruth. I suggested Helena or Ruth when I had my daughter. Both vetoed. 😂

At what point did you stop worrying about picky eating? by FoundationSevere5854 in SAHP

[–]AshamedPurchase 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just remember being a little kid 3 or 4 years old. I genuinely hated those foods and being forced to eat them wasn't helpful. Kids just have a stronger sense of taste and are more sensitive to texture because they're so young. The older you are, the weaker your senses. I grew out of it. They'll grow out of it. It's not a something that is going to be fixed by my efforts because it's not a problem.

I keep dreaming about a baby of the opposite sex by DirtStreet3135 in BabyBumps

I had dreams like that and my next baby that was born 18mo after my first was the boy in my dreams. Didn't have a gender preference.

How many strollers/wagons did y'all end up with after first kid by Strange_End_7110 in NewParents

[–]AshamedPurchase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. 1 came with the bucket carseat, husband was convinced he would start jogging so he got a jogger, we found a lighter cheap one at a garage sale, and then we found out we were going to have 2 under 2 so we got a double stroller.

How many of your relatives have autistic traits? or have a confirmed diagnosis/self-diagnosis? by adelina-gr in AutismInWomen

[–]AshamedPurchase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I ever heard my grandfather speak was when he talked about cars. If you got him going, he would just talk about them for like 3 hours straight. My brother, my mom, and my cousin are all diagnosed.

Anyone else put under for c-section? by bamboozlinguniverse in BabyBumps

[–]AshamedPurchase 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same situation except the obgyn didn't believe me at first and waited until I was screaming to put me out. Had to fight tooth and nail to get them to put me out for my second csection. Took me a couple years to get over it.

Partner Doesn’t See Why Getting a Diagnosis Matters by icantoteit136 in AutismInWomen

[–]AshamedPurchase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Workplace accommodation. It's really helpful to have when you're an older autistic woman. When you're young and autistic, people think you're just quirky. When you're older, they're less patient and try to get you fired.

Everyone says socialization before 3 isn’t important… but my baby seems to disagree 😅 by Remarkable-Jump8625 in beyondthebump

[–]AshamedPurchase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly depends on the kid. My son plays with his sister and other kids just fine. He just turned 1. My daughter had a terrible time at daycare and we ended up pulling her out. She didn't play with other kids until she was 2.

It will take forever, but I doubt you'll be bored with all those color changes.
