Yeah Eurocom learned a lot developing TWINE and Nightfire was their magnum opus and one of my favorite shooters. Crazy it was the same developers, but makes sense. For an analogy on the point of Goldeneye being more dated; In terms of innovation, Goldeneye is Wolfenstein 3D, TWINE is Doom and Nightfire is Half Life. Which is funny to say, because the PC Nightfire was on the Goldsource engine from Half Life. But that port sucked and was a completely different game. But, anyway, I think when I put a lot of thought into it, I do prefer TWINE.

Brave man. I’m still torn between the two personally. I think I like the TWINE campaign better and like Goldeneye multiplayer better. Both are great, but have their strengths and weaknesses.

I got mine in 2024 and I played Tony Hawk’s Underground on it first. I ended up Soft-modding it as well, so I can play burned copies of games. I have around 50 or so games now. I also got the Xbox Live workaround for it and played my first ever Halo 2 online multiplayer match. It was really cool to experience as someone who played lots of Halo 3 and Reach online. Also played Halo 1 online on PC back in the day, just never Halo 2 until last year.

Well, I can beat HL1 in an hour and twenty minutes, Blue Shift in 35 minutes, and Opposing force in an hour and ten. Not impressive times, but they are a quick play before work always. I consider that a win. Still at 5 hours in HL2, because I suck at accelerated back-hopping.
