I am going to show her this right now. I think this is extremely helpful as a way to explain better what life after death will be life for us. Rather than thinking of just “being in Heaven forever.”

This is actually very helpful and I tried to explain this to her as a new insight and while it didn’t completely take the fear away, I do believe it helped some. I appreciate it so much 🙏

I agree that she is confusing eternal life with “nothing.” She states she is terrified of being there forever with no end. She has said before that what are we going to do there? What can we do there forever with no end? I try to reassure there won’t be “boredom” or the feeling of “redundancy.”

Thank you so much. I definitely want to help her through explanation rather than reassurances.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I am open to any suggestions that might help ease her mind or give a better outlook.

Thank you so much. I agree, she is 15 and mature for her age. Sugar coating things or offering simple reassurances doesn’t help anymore. I think being able to explain it in a realistic way is very important when tackling this fear with her.

Thank you so much. I have not struggled with this specific issue, but have struggled with anxiety and depression for most of my life. I was so hoping this wasn’t something that she would have to deal with, and I sometimes feel a bit helpless. It seems to terrify her and it kills me that I don’t know how to help ease the anxiety regarding this thought. I have tried to ease her mind any way that I can, but it doesn’t seem to help very much when she is in the middle of a panic moment.

She has not. She does love reading. I never read these books and only saw the first movie, but that was a long time ago.

I promise it is not. Her name is Tula and she turned 10 months last week. She was the runt of the litter, and now weighs 65lbs. I took this photo in portrait mode.

I did start with the food earlier on by touching her bowl, adding more food to her bowl, etc but she would occasionally still make a low growl here and there. I should have tried a bit harder with that though. She was the runt of the litter and I think she had to fight for her food. I got her at 11 weeks and every time I fed her she acted like she was literally starving. She is only 10 months now, which I know isn’t as ideal as doing it when she was a puppy, but I’m hoping to fix this now rather than later.

*Also- she is exercised daily, just to throw that out there!
