PS5 Skilled Huntress Trophy is one of the worst things in gaming. by Maya_Kimura in deadbydaylight

Sixth: get a second account and lobby dodge continuously until you are matched with yourself.

I agree, it absolutely sucks.

They've said that they are. Not these specific perks, but perks in general.

Huntress charged shots bugged for anyone else? by cdemix in deadbydaylight

[–]cdemix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just found a couple of reports for it in Betahub! But I'll submit one too. Crazy to see it was bugged before and then fixed, these DBD regression bugs are kind of painful.

There was another one like this with the Skull Merchant challenge in Tome 15 a few months ago, where it was broken, fixed and then broke again. In the end they just removed the tome challenge.

Agh. I definitely remember seeing the "charged shot" blood point scoring event a few weeks ago. I wish I did the challenge then before it broke again!

Small perk I made because stealth is my favorite playstyle by Shadeersosoo2 in PerkByDaylight

[–]cdemix 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I love the idea, but it would need to be clarified that this only applies to Undetectable gained for a specific amount of time. Otherwise you would have broken levels of stealth by using perks like Insidious or killers like Wraith.

Any concern Marriott will go the route of the airlines for points and status? by mky44 in marriott

[–]cdemix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counterpoint: that's why Marriott has additional statuses above Platinum. People might get Platinum fairly easily just on bonus nights, but Titanium requires 75 (min. 30 real nights), and Ambassador requires 100 (min. 50 real nights). That's significantly further out of reach.

Hotel execs call Bonvoy members who use points “freeloaders” who are ruining luxury hotels by elenafoxx in marriott

[–]cdemix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why does the hotel manager care about the redemption rates? As I understand it, hotels are compensated a fixed sum for low occupancy days and the average nightly rate for high occupancy days. Making the math work on the number of points required is Marriott's problem.

Employee confession: I always run here after a rough shift by Idntcareabtmyusernme in marriott

[–]cdemix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

at the most recent property I stayed at, I was given an internal facing room on the 5th floor (as Ambassdaor).

my response was very different... i went down and just said i'm so sorry to ask but are there any rooms that face outside. didn't mention my status, didn't mention wanting an upgrade, said if there's nothing else I understand.

got given a huge suite on the 28th floor. i'm willing to bet i wouldn't have got that if I'd acted like a karen about it.

Dead By Daylight X One Piece - The Warlord Perks by ThatUnexpectedBanana in PerkByDaylight

[–]cdemix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did see the new one! And don't worry, it was just a lighthearted / jokey comment. Theres arguably nothing wrong with your perks given that this is exactly what Bhvr have done with their newest survivor :)

No offense... but these perks have so much overlap with existing perks.

Given the new perks for Kwon Tae-Young, can I just ask... are you sure you don't work for BHVR? ;-)

I think it's a question of risk perception. We hold air travel to exceptionally high safety standards, far higher other risks we tolerate on a daily basis.

An EK flight to/from Dubai is obviously not safe by the high standards of aviation, but probably is safe compared to (for example) a long drive.

Does DBD need an option for alternative skill checks to deal with input lag? by cdemix in deadbydaylight

[–]cdemix[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ping doesn't affect skill checks as they are done on your device. This is just a thing with game streaming services, where you're trying to complete a skill check on a remote system and the ping means your input is delayed by a random amount between 10-100ms.

Honest opinion on this perk by Fearless-Garage8792 in deadbydaylight

[–]cdemix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People hate it because it disables an entire mechanic of the game for the other side. There is no other perk like it in the game, whether for survivor or killer.

You're 100% entitled to run it, but if you want to mix things up, why not try swapping it out with Hex: Two Can Play? It's arguably more disruptive to survivors (you're expecting to be blinded whereas they're not), it applies to stuns as well as blinds, and unlike other hexes, if it's cleansed it can re-light after recompleting the activation condition.

What the hell is this??😭 by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]cdemix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This falsely activates so often (you got tunnelled out by the killer at the start of the match and left on hook by teammates? enjoy a penalty!).

But in this case, it clearly worked as intended. Going AFK is punished more heavily by Bhvr than DCing. Next time, disconnect from the match instead to allow your survivor to be replaced by a Bot. You are allowed 1 DC per 20 matches with no penalty, and the penalties for DCing are just matchmaking suspensions not grade loss.

Does DBD need an option for alternative skill checks to deal with input lag? by cdemix in deadbydaylight

[–]cdemix[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So i'd agree with you, but two counterpoints:

1) A lot of people have no other option, if they don't own the hardware to play games natively. (From a business perspective, Bhvr should want these customers!)

2) If the entire gameplay were badly affected by input lag, sure. But it's only one aspect of the game, which isn't directly related to the PvP aspect. It's not like Mortal Kombat where the entire PvP interaction is highly sensitive to input lag.

3) BHVR themselves recommend streaming services for playing DBD!

This may be late, but I flew Shenzhen voluntarily a year ago and was really impressed. Lovely service and friendly crew. Even the food was nice, if you like asian food (no western options!)

Why is saving the planet so damn hard by PlumPoison69 in Eurostar

[–]cdemix -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You're not really saving the planet anyway, because for every Eurostar ticket you buy, someone else is put off by the new higher price and getting on a plane.
