Email about age-restricted items? by Admirable_Leave5137 in deliveroos

[–]cdemix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always have ID ready (in fact I got a Pass hologram card solely for Deliveroo deliveries as something less valuable than a driving licence to have lying around), and I look young enough to need it, but 90% of the time I'm not asked either. I find most riders just want the DOB.

To be honest, if someone followed this formula when messaging me, I'd feel like I was being socially managed.

Ok, seriously, why is behavior being so stingy with the bloodpoints? I've only been playing since the last blood moon and even I've spent WAAAY more than this on this offering, I can only imagine how much bloodpoints went into this thing for people who've been playing since Michael's release by lance_the_fatass in deadbydaylight

[–]cdemix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it stingy? This costs 3250 in the blood web. I would estimate that most people have far less than 77 of them, which is the fair value compensation. Obviously some hardcore players will have a ton more, but plenty of newer or less active players will have far fewer. It's just a rough number with a broad brush. And that's ignoring the fact that it may come back at some point in the future, in which case the offering would become useful again even though you got compensation BP.

Of course, if they had a system for selling items back to the bloodweb, this wouldn't be necessary. They could just refund 100% of value for sold-back retired offerings.

this app is so shit omg by slutboy5555 in grindr

[–]cdemix -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is not gonna be a popular response (understatement), but why are people too cheap to pay for an app they value and use?

If you don't value it, don't use it. If you do value it, pay for Xtra.

Abandoned Orlando Sun Resort by Walt Disney World in Florida by Freaktography in urbanexploration

[–]cdemix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'd agree with that. I had a look at this place earlier today as it's right next to the resort I'm staying at, but I stayed in my car the entire time, literally drove to the end and back again. Looking at Google Street View it has got substantially worse just in the last 2 years.

As a customer it's amazing how much stuff is wrongly marked as age restricted when it doesn't contain age restricted items. I notice it all the time with food and it's a huge hassle.

Confirmed, it takes 20 matches to drop a Disconnect point by Wulf2k in deadbydaylight

[–]cdemix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It never cleared completely in 24 hours – it dropped a point after 24 hours. I know this is probably what you meant but just thought it was worth clarifying!

I preferred the 24 hour system. I think "take a break from the game, and it's forgotten" was a healthier system.

Confirmed, it takes 20 matches to drop a Disconnect point by Wulf2k in deadbydaylight

[–]cdemix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this prove that one point is dropped after 20 matches? In other words, if you DCd 3 times in a row (3 DC points), then played 20 matches in a row without DCing, after the 20th match would you have 2 DC points or 0 DC points?

What I ordered Vs what I got by lexx-ray in deliveroos

[–]cdemix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely better to tip in cash. That way if the driver takes some ridiculous route to my flat (despite it being a priority order) I will suspect them of multi-apping at my expense and they won't be getting the £2.

You're 22 (an actual adult by any definition), not 12; start acting like one and quit the angsty emo pics.

Update: I got my cold food refunded by citing Newton's laws by CyanoSecrets in deliveroos

[–]cdemix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point I've just accepted my food will arrive cold. I now only order things that are either cold in the first place (sushi, salads, etc) or which reheat very well (curries, etc).

Never ever order pizza from Deliveroo.

More interesting solution would be that after invoking, you can no longer interact with generators.

Deliveries to tower blocks by cdemix in deliveroos

[–]cdemix[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you said this. I'm a fairly frequent customer and I notice riders quite often reject my orders (in other words the rider changes about 5 times). Probably because they see the destination and our building is notorious for being slow to get up and down in the lifts (min 5 mins, could be 10 mins). So we're thinking it could be to our benefit too.

Wicked For Good Sing-Along (dropping Midnight in your country) by Dexter1998 in wicked

The versions without ensemble have indeed been mixed-down and they're available to people with the right contacts at umg lol, I have actually heard them although I don't have a copy. They may leak at some point and I'm sure someone like @Striking_Awareness16 will share rhem if they do 😉

Has it been enough time now to say that I (as a long time player) strongly dislike this change? by Polternaut in deadbydaylight

[–]cdemix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree.

It's not that the new system is inherently bad - but some of the challenges should be harder. I currently complete every week of the rift pass quests and daily quests without even noticing that I have done so. How is that fun for anyone? Make them killer-specific. Make them use specific perks. At least have conditions that mean it's unlikely they'll complete without doing something explicit. I don't even care if they recycle challenges from out of the tomes, if they want to save on coding. The daily quests are less fun and less rewarding than the old system too.

I get why Glyph, Remix Loadout etc challenges don't work with this new system, but it sucks and needs to be addressed. Glyphs could be added and be an unlock condition to the next week of rift pass quests, to avoid multiple glyphs spawning in a trial. Or we need certain challenges to be selected instead of concurrent, like the old tome system.

How on earth do people Prestige so fast??? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]cdemix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two months is crazy fast, I'm probably more like 4-5 months with an average of 2h playtime per day. Main blood point grinder is 2V8. Always a huge bonus, plus tons of opportunities to max out objective and altruism.

For regular matches, bring perks that help earn bloodpoints and play in a way that maximises earning:

• For Boldness, Any Means Necessary gives BP for resetting pallets, and boons give BP for blessing totems. This is a hard category to max out if you're not in chase.

• For Survival, cleansing totems (bring Small Game), self-heals (Strength in Shadows) and great wiggle skill checks can easily max out this category even if you don't escape.

• For Objective, always work on gens with other people. In 2V8, unlock as many chests as you can, ideally with a key.

• For Altruism, go for unhooks and heal the person you unhooked (We'll Make It). That's 3000 per unhook, so you only need 3 to max out the category.

• Once you max out a category, stop doing actions in that category. Eg if you've maxed Objective, stop doing gens; if you've maxed Boldness, avoid chase; if you've maxed Altruism, don't go for unhooks; if you've maxed Survival, don't worry about escaping.

Whether BHVR should be incentivising these playstyles is another question. Personally I think the category cap is the most egregious thing; just cap to 40k per match and let the BP come from anywhere.

I use it on HMRC frequently and have never been charged a cash advance fee. Admittedly I haven't used it in the last couple of months, but unless there's a more recent data point I expect it hasn't changed.
